    Thank you for your interest in NOVA Engineering Technology Career Scholars! This program is an opportunity for NOVA students to pursue a career in Engineering Technology or Data Center Operations through a cohesive earn-and-learn model. Selected students will earn a stipend for participating in each phase of the program. The application deadline is March 13th, 2026. Students will be contacted if selected for review.
  • Program Requirements:

    If accepted as an ET Career Scholar, you'll be asked to commit to the following activities:

    - One year commitment starting summer 2026 and ending summer 2027. 

    - Attend an information session in March to determine program participation. 

    - Interview and receive letter of acceptance if selected.

    - Complete NOVA and FAFSA applications.

    - Complete OSHA-10 and orientation to college (SDV-101) coursework.

    - Participate in summer bridge program activities and ET Career Scholars summer block.

    - Complete a full-time courseload in the Fall 2026 and Spring 2027 to complete a 26-27 credit Engineering Technology or Data Center Operations career study certificate. 

    - Participate in Career Leadership and Readiness Institute (CLRI) workshops.

    - Complete applications and interview processes for internships and/or registered apprenticeships.  

    Eligibility:

    In order to be eligible for this program, students must be:

    - Apply and attend NOVA as a full-time student. 

    - Eligible to work in the United States. 

    - At least 18 years of age by May 2027.

    Students selected to this program will receive a stipend for participating in the bridge program, academic cohort and internship. Please contact ETCS@nvcc.edu with any questions.
