• LAD Lab @ UCSD - Undergrad RA Application

  • Thank you for your interest in joining the Language and Development Lab! Our laboratory typically recruits new research assistants on a quarterly basis, and the number of open positions varies by quarter.

Application review for each quarter begins toward the end of the previous quarter. All applications are reviewed and considered.

To learn more about our lab, please visit our lab website. Details about volunteering can be found here.

Research assistants are required to commit to ten weekly hours of lab work during the Fall/Winter/Spring quarters and 12 hours during the Summer. Additionally, research assistants are required to commit to one off-campus kid-testing shift per week, at a minimum. These shifts count toward the weekly hourly requirement and take place at local preschools and at the Fleet Science Center in Balboa Park.

Applications are accepted on a rolling basis. Applicants are encouraged to reach out to Miguel Mejia at ladlabcoordinator@ucsd.edu with questions or comments.
