Our goal is to place each of our puppies in his or her “forever” home, this line of retrievers has been in our family for four generations from our first pairing of the lovely Linnie the Labrador and George the Golden retriever to our gorgeous Ginger the Curly Goldador.

Each puppy is an individual. Just as no two children in a family are identical(even if they look identical), no two puppies are exactly alike. Nor are any two prospective homes the same. During the first 8-9 weeks of the puppies’ lives, we will be observing and evaluating their physical and personality traits. We will compare our observations to the information on each questionnaire to try to determine the most appropriate home for each puppy by matching the needs of each individual dog to each prospective owner’s lifestyle.

Therefore, the answers you provide in this questionnaire are vital in assisting us to match your home with the right puppy. There are no “right” or “wrong” answers. Some of the questions may seem personal; however, candor and honesty are very important—remember, we are trusting you for the lifetime of this dog (12-18 years)to love,protect and care for it just as it will for you and your family. Welcoming a new dog into your family is not an impulse decision, these questions are designed to not only help us to help you chose the right puppy for your family but to ensure that their intergration into your family goes as smoothly as possible.

All our puppies are toilet trained to use a doggy flap, artificial turf pee station as well as to indicate to their humans when they need to relieve themselves (usually by walking to the outside door and sitting). How do you plan on continuing this toileting training?

All Casa canine puppies are accustomed to a wide variety of stimuli as part of their raising program, this includes;thunder,fireworks,screaming children, power tools,cars backfiring, doorbells(in total approximately 200 noises). However we know all families are different and so we would like to know if there are any particular extra stimuli that you would like us to add to your puppy's exposure list. For example one of our previous puppy's families went boating so we got the puppies used to the family's specific motorboat's engine sound so it wouldn't be scared by the noise when it first went boating. Another family had one partner working as a ER doctor so we acclimatized that litter to a variety of medical scents (disinfectants,iodine, topical ointments) as well as to individuals in scrubs and face masks. Please think about your family's daily routines and let us know if there is anything you would like us to acclimatize your puppy to prior to them joining your family that could make their integration easier.

All puppies have their own personalities which will continue to develop as they grow, it's important to match the right puppy to the right family for the health and happiness of both.
