Join us at MoCA L.I. for a unique and hands-on experience at Handmade Watercolor Pigment Workshop, where artist Christie Jones will guide you through the fascinating world of non-toxic handmade watercolors. Participants will each work one on one with Christie to take part in a group pigment making lesson while experimenting with handmade watercolor pigments from the artist's collection.
This 1.5-hour workshop promises a blend of creativity, learning, and socializing, all against the backdrop of unique earth & mineral pigments in seashells.

Participants will have the opportunity to explore the art of painting with handmade watercolors. Choose from a variety of design sheets or let your imagination run wild and create your own masterpiece. Enjoy a relaxed and social atmosphere as you engage with fellow art enthusiasts. Share tips, tricks, and stories while crafting your own artwork. 
What to Expect:

Hands on pigment making demonstration with Christie Jones
All art supplies, including non-toxic handmade watercolors, will be provided

BYOB (Bring Your Own Brushes) if you have a favorite set

Each participant will leave with a set of 2 watercolor paint brushes, 3 handmade paint colors in oysters, 1 design watercolor sheet, 5 sheets of watercolor paper size 6x9", white.

No prior art experience required.
