2026 Roberta Vann Scholarship Online Application

Thank you for your interest in the 2026 Roberta Vann Scholarship. This scholarship is awarded to a student who will be attending a 4-year college or university in the upcoming Fall 2026 Term.

Scholarship Award Amount: $1,000

DEADLINE: Monday, April 20, 2026 at 11:59pm

ELIGIBILITY
A female graduating high school senior planning to enter a 4-year college or university in Fall 2026, with a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher; or a current female college student with a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher planning to be enrolled in Fall 2026.

**Family and household residents of P.I.N.K. Ivy Foundation members are ineligible to receive a scholarship**

APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS
1. Please complete Online Application below and submit all documents
2. Submit official high school or college transcript
3. Submit a college acceptance letter
4. Submit a typed 250-700 word count personal statement (double spaced)
5. Submit two (2) Letters of Recommendation

A strong application completes all listed steps while introducing the committee to the applicant. i.e. Do you have hobbies? A job? Love community service? Financial hardship? Tell us about it. Are you from Portland? Why is college important to you? This is a moment to tell the committee about you.

IMPORTANT DATES
All applications and requested documents must be submitted by Monday, April 20, 2026. Please complete all fields. Once you start you will not be able to save this application. Incomplete applications will not be considered.

Award winners will be honored at the B.E.A.M Black Baccalaureate ceremony on Sunday, May 31, 2026 at University of Portland.

PLEASE NOTE
Proof of Enrollment from the award recipient’s college or university must be submitted prior to monies being disbursed. Award monies will be sent directly to the recipient’s college or university.

C.) SCHOLARSHIPS & FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE: Please describe your financial need. List all scholarships, grants, and financial aid received (include dollar amounts).*

D.) TWO (2) LETTERS OF RECOMMENDATION: Please provide the name, professional title, and email address of the two individuals who will submit a Letter of Recommendation on your behalf. The individuals should be someone who can speak knowledgeably of your academic experience (counselor or teacher).
