At Faith Lutheran College, we believe our students learn best when they are given the opportunity to participate in meaningful, thought-provoking projects.
Our 'Creating Intergenerational Connections through Storytelling' project provides the opportunity for Year 7 students to work with buddies older generations to learn about their life experiences, recollections and memories from years gone by.
Buddied up according to the shared interests of both the students and the program participants, groups spend time together, unpacking history and change through conversations, interviews, documents, images and objects.
The students’ overarching goal is to translate their learning into stories that can be shared with the broader community.
To facilitate this exciting and meaningful project, we are searching for senior buddies who can share their wisdom, experience and memories with our youngest students at Faith Lutheran College.
If you are interested in being a buddy, please register your interest by completing this form at your earliest convenience.
