Semmes Farmer's Market
  • This farmers market is intended to showcase locally grown, produced, and handcrafted goods. Vendor approval is contingent upon products aligning with the farmers market’s mission, style, and standards. Products deemed inconsistent with the farmers market model may be denied approval at the discretion of the market organizers.

    Note, some vendors and/ or items may not be approved. For each market, the number of non-food vendors will not exceed 30% of the total vendors.

    General arts & crafts are not permitted at this market.

    Resale, kit made, commercially and/ or mechanically mass-produced items are not permitted at this market.

  • The Semmes Farmer's Market takes place indoors and outdoors of the Semmes Community Center, l0141 Moffett Rd, Semmes AL 36575.

    Events are from 2-6 p.m. on the dates below. 

    Set up is from 12-2 p.m. Spots are first come, first serve. Clean- up will take place immediately following the market. No items should be left behind.

    Vendor Fees- Free 

    Vendors will be emailed with approval dates and approved items. 

    We do our best to have the largest variety possible at these events but cannot guarantee that you will be the only vendor of your kind.

    To maintain a well-balanced farmers market, vendor approval will be based on product variety and how well offerings align with the market’s style and goals for serving the community.

    Like vendors will be placed on a waitlist and emailed if space opens.

  • I understand that it is my responsibility as a vendor to abide by all state, federal, and local regulations which govern the production, harvest, preparation, preservation, labeling, or safety of products offered for sale at the market.

    Vendors selling products by weight, measure, or count agree to comply with the Code of Alabama 1975, §§ 2-5A-1 et seq., and the Alabama Department of Agriculture and Industries Administrative Code Chapter 80-7-1, including the use of certified legal-for-trade weighing and measuring devices and accurate pricing and labeling. Compliance with these requirements is the sole responsibility of the vendor.

    All vendors regardless of product must meet the health requirements that prevent food borne illnesses.

    Failure to comply with all event rules, policies, and regulations will result in removal from the event and may result in disqualification from future vendor participation.

    By signing and submitting this document I also agree to indemnify and hold harmless the market organizer and governing body from any liability arising from the participation in this market. I understand that I or a representative must be present during the sale of products.
