Lavender in the Village and the Rio Grande Community Farm ("Producer") are accepting ‘Lavender’ themed artwork submissions for the 14th annual festival, a juried artwork competition. The artwork chosen will be for the official 2024 Lavender in the Village Festival poster.
Producer has the right to refuse any artwork which fails to meet entry and eligibility requirements or artwork deemed inappropriate.
Producer reserves the right to extend the entry deadline if deemed appropriate.
CALENDAR of IMPORTANT DEADLINES
JUNE 1, 2024: ENTRY DEADLINE: Entry form, images and fees must be received by this date.
JUNE 13, 2024: NOTIFICATION: The winning Artist will be notified via email or by phone.
The Artist chosen will be awarded the following:
- $500.00 honorarium.
- Dedicated webpage on the Festival site with their photo, bio, and art.
- 1 Complimentary 10’ x 10’ booth/tent space at the Festival for onsite sales; one 8’ table and 2 chairs. Value of $350.00 non-transferable.
- 6 Entry tickets to the festival.
- 25 posters
I HEREBY AGREE TO AND ACCEPT ALL OF THE FOLLOWING CONDITONS
SHOULD MY SUBMISSION BE THE WINNING ARTWORK.
I, as the "Artist" retain the original artwork and the right to sell the original artwork and other artwork during the 2024 Lavender in the Village Festival. Producer however retains the exclusive right to sell or auction off copies of the official event poster.
The original poster artwork will be on display during the Festival either at the Artist’s booth or in a common area for viewing.
The Artist is asked to support Lavender in the Village Festival, a 501(C) 3, by donating a piece of their original artwork to the Lavender in the Village Festival to be sold or auctioned with proceeds benefitting
Lavender in the Village.
The Lavender in the Village Festival Board of Directors retains the exclusive right to sell posters featuring the winning artwork.
Artist guarantees that the submitted artwork is their own original design and has not been published prior in any medium.
Artist grants Producer irrevocable permission, without restriction, to use images of the winning artwork for the reproduction of any posters, brochures, t-shirts, merchandise, advertising, media, outreach and educational and promotional materials for the Annual Lavender in the Village Festival.
GENERAL SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
- Artist may submit up to three entries.
- Submissions must be received by June 1, 2024.
- The artwork may not include any identifiable landmarks or products, i.e. well known farms or businesses including Los Poblanos etc.
- Provide your name, address, phone number and website address.
- Detailed description of the artwork to include size and medium.
- Description of where and when you created the artwork.
- If your original artwork is small, please describe the size, and whether there will be problems photographing it in high-resolution.
- Photographs will not be returned and will be considered the property of the Lavender in the Village Festival Board of Directors.
- Artist understands that their artwork may be on display during the Festival.
- Brief Biography: To include art experience, art images and a list of other festivals, galleries or shows your artwork has been displayed.
