  • RULES

    • Returning players to their returning team have FIRST CHOICE to retain their previous year's game jersey number.
    • Returning players moving up to their new Fury team have FIRST CHOICE to retain their number from the previous season if it is not been taken by a 2nd-year player returning to their team. If the player's first choice number is taken by a second-year player to their team, then the player's second choice number will be chosen. If two or more returning players request the same number, the older player will win the tie-breaker.
    • New Players to the Fury will get to choose numbers after all returning players have chosen their numbers.  If two or more new players request the same number, the older player will win the tie-breaker.

  • TRAVEL HOCKEY & PLAYING TIME

The Florida Fury is Travel Hockey Program that is committed to creating the best possible experience for our players and their families. Our program is designed to:

    1) Make sure each player increases their skill level from the start of the season to the last day

    2) Teach life lessons, communication skills, leadership skills, and sportsmanship

    3) To put the most competitive team on the ice in order to win

What we expect from our players:

    1) Be on time for all practices, team events, and games/tournaments

    2)  100% participation, there is no part of our program that is optional (Local / In-State and Out-of-State Games)

    3) Be the best teammate you can be, and always support your teammates on the ice

    4) Practice is where you get better and 100% effort and commitment are expected

    5) Ice time during games is not equal, the Fury plays to win and our coaches will play the players that give the team the best chance for success

    6) The "24 Hour" rule is always in effect. If there is any type of incident, big or small, between yourself or your player and another member of the organization, please take a deep breath, wait 24 hours, and then go to your team manager to discuss and take next steps to resolve issue.

    7) If you are not happy with your ice time during games, ask to meet with the coach and ask these three questions:

    - How can I earn more ice time?

    - What do I need to work on to get better?

    - How can I help my team?

     8) The Florida Fury has a ZERO tolerance policy for any type of bullying or harassment. You will be removed from the program for any infraction of this rule.

I/We have read, understand and agree to comply with the Florida Fury Code of Conduct outlined above.

  • PARENT CONSENTS

  • USA HOCKEY

    Parents' Code of Conduct:

    • Do not force your children to participate in sports, but support their desires to play their chosen sport. Children are involved in organized sports for their enjoyment. Make it fun.

    • Encourage your child to play by the rules. Remember, children learn best by example, so applaud the good plays of both teams.

    • Do not embarrass your child by yelling at players, coaches or officials. By showing a positive attitude toward the game and all of its participants, your child will benefit.

    • Emphasize skill development and practices and how they benefit your young athlete. De-emphasize games and competition in the lower age groups.

    • Know and study the rules of the game, and support the officials on and off the ice. This approach will help in the development and support of the game. Any criticism of the officials only hurts the game.

    • Applaud a good effort in both victory and defeat and enforce the positive points of the game. Never yell at or physically abuse your child after a game or practice - it is destructive. Work toward removing the physical and verbal abuse in youth sports.

    • Recognize the importance of volunteer coaches. They are important to the development of your child and the sport. Communicate with them and support them. If you enjoy the game, learn all you can about hockey - and volunteer.

    Spectators Code of Conduct:

    • Display good sportsmanship. Always respect players, coaches and officials.

    • Act appropriately; do not taunt or disturb other fans; enjoy the game together.

    • Cheer good plays of all participants; do not boo opponents.

    • Cheer in a positive manner and encourage fair play; profanity and objectionable cheers or gestures are offensive.

    • Help provide a safe and fun environment; throwing any items on the surface can cause injury to players and officials.

    • Do not lean over or pound on the glass or fence; the glass and fence surrounding the surface if part of the playing area.

    • Support the referees and coaches by trusting their judgment and integrity.

    • Be responsible for your own safety - be alert to prevent accidents from flying pucks and other avoidable situations.

    • Respect locker rooms as private areas for players, coaches and officials.

    • Be supportive after the game - win or lose.

    • Recognize good effort, teamwork and sportsmanship.

    Disciplinary Action

    I understand that if I do not comply with the above Code of Conduct as set forth by Florida Fury Hockey Foundation & Club, I am subject to the following disciplinary actions;

    1. I will be asked to attend a meeting with the Disciplinary Committee and receive a written warning.
    2. I may be issued a suspension from attending any team activity for a period set forth by the Disciplinary Committee.
    3. Either myself, my family, and my child may be expelled from further participating in any activity indefinitely.
