The Player Council is a group formed by young leaders throughout our New England Section and is an extension of both the Junior Competitive and Community Departments. The mission of the council is to inspire young athletes to grow a diverse tennis community and instill good sportsmanship.

The benefits of participating on the player council include but are not limited to:

    · An opportunity to work with and learn from other section players

    · Receive volunteer credit hours

    Responsibilities:

    · Provide partnership and support of younger members through an evolving mentorship program.

    · Assist with work on social media campaigns in partnership with the Marketing department.

    · Applicants are expected to have good grades and have no sportsmanship issues with USTA New England.

  • is applying to become a New England Player Council (NEPC) Member. If s/he is selected, I will support him/her in the work of NEPC. As a New England Player Council member, s/he would be part of a team of New England youth working together to represent their peers across the section. NEPC members are expected to be leaders and act as positive role-models at functions, as well as in their community and school.

I understand NEPC members attend about two to three meetings a year. I will support the child in making travel arrangements and/or contribute to offset travel expenses to functions. I understand that the USTA New England will make every effort to pay for travel and lodging expenses for all NEPC functions, dependent on fundraising efforts. I will be responsible for signing photo/video release forms, medical/media release forms allowing my child’s participation at NEPC functions.

I realize the NEPC members are part of an effort to create positive change in the USTA New England Section and by applying is to take on a prestigious leadership role that will help make a difference.
