Pageant entry fee- 0-6 years $35.00
7-10 years $45.00

Pageant Registration: 9:00am-9:30am

Pageant: 11:00 am

Areas of compition:

0-6 years will compete in Gown ONLY

7-10 years will compete in Casual Wear and Gown

**** 7-10 will need to submit a headshot for the program book****

(Casual wear is something you would wear to a photo shoot or for pictures)

Pageant Information:

Age Division Queen winners will receive a crown and custom sash.
1st and 2nd alternate will receive a ribbon sash.

People’s Choice award 0-10 years will receive a crown and custom sash.
**People’s Choice Votes are $1.00 each. You can vote as many times as you wish
EXAMPLE: $1.00 equals 1 vote or $5.00 equals 5 votes

DOORS WILL OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AND FAMILY AT 10:30am

SINCE THIS IS A GIRLS ONLY PAGEANT, WE WILL NOT ALLOW
MEN IN OR AROUND THE DRESSINGS ROOMS TO ENSURE THE PRIVACY

Please read each one before signing below:

*Director(s) reserves right to combine/divide/add age division(s) or cancel the event if entries are not sufficient.

*Contestant must be a West Virginia Resident.

*Good sportsmanship is required at all times by contestants and family members or disqualification and dismissal will result without a refund.

* I understand only 1 Person will be permitted with contestant to registration and backstage or disqualification and dismissal will result without a refund. Doors open at 10:30 am to family and public!

*I understand the Judges decisions are FINAL-No exceptions.

*I understand there are NO refunds given, under any circumstance. (Unless director cancels event or COVID restrictions)

* I will not hold the director, The WV Molasses Festival or pageant organizers, judges, volunteers, sponsors, hostesses, committee members, owners of the facility where the event is held, and all others involved with the production of the event, responsible for any liability arising from personal injury, illness, property loss or damage, or similar cause.

*If I win my age division, I am required to attend the 6pm pageant and to ride on The Molasses Festival Parade Float on September 28, 2024

*I agree that all pictures obtained may be used for future media and promotional use.

*Contestants, parents, friends, relatives, etc. are not to approach the judges or auditors at any time for any reason!

*Director reserves the right to amend these rules at any time.

WAIVER AND RELEASE OF LIABILITY

I acknowledge that my participation in this physical activity can cause potential injury to my person or property. With a full understanding of the potential risk, I HEREBY ASSUME THE RISKS OF PARTICIPATING IN THE WV MOLASSES FESTIVAL PAGEANT. I hereby take the following action for myself or my representatives: a) I WAIVE, RELEASE AND DISCHARGE from any and all claims or liabilities for death or personal injury or damages of any kind, EXCEPT THAT WHICH IS THE RESULT OF GROSS NEGLIEGENCE AND/OR WANTON MISCONDUCT OF PERSONS OR ENTITIES
LISTED BELOW, which arise out of or relate to my participation in the activity, THE FOLLOWING PERSONS OR ENTITIES: The WV Molasses Festival Board of Directors, event sponsors, and the officer, Pageant directors, employees, representatives and agents of any of the above; b) I AGREE NOT TO SUE any of the persons or entities listed above for any of the claims or liabilities that I have waived, released or discharged herein; and c) I INDEMNIFY AND HOLD HARMLESS the persons or entities mentioned above from any claims made or liabilities assessed against them as a result of my actions.
