REGISTRATION:
- Submit a copy of this contract signed by parent or legal guardian, the Registration Form, and the $250.00 non-refundable Membership Commitment Deposit no later than May 15, 2024. No student is officially registered until the signed contract and deposit are both received.
- Previous debt owed to the HVS Band Boosters by any member of the student’s family must be paid in full no later than May 15th, 2024 before the student is eligible to participate in the 2024 season.
- Huron Valley Marching Band operates solely on Participation Fees, Fundraising, and Parent Volunteer Participation.
PAYMENTS:
- The 2024 Huron Valley Marching Band Participation Fee is $1,350.00, payable to the Lakeland Band Boosters.
- A $250.00 non-refundable commitment deposit is due no later than May 15th, 2024.
- Additional payments of $275.00 are due as follows:
June 15th, 2024 - July 15th, 2024 - August 15th, 2024 - Sept. 15, 2024
- The Huron Valley Marching Band Participation Fee MUST BE CURRENT BY JULY 15th, 2024 for the student to be eligible to attend Band Camp.
- If at any point an overdue balance exits for your account, a $25 late fee will be assessed per month, for any payment past due.
- If, at the end of the season, a balance is owed to the Huron Valley Marching Band, a school district “book fine” WILL be levied on the student. This will affect the student’s ability to participate in graduation ceremonies or register for classes in the Huron Valley School District, and out of district students may have a delay in formal transcripts being forwarded to their district school.
- Uniform Essentials, Guard Essentials, and Band Apparels are not included in the Participation Fee.
- Please contact the Huron Valley Marching Band Treasurer immediately regarding any potential payment conflicts. The Treasurer will present the conflict to the entire HMVB STEERING COMMITTEE to determine a resolution that works both for the family and still ensures the necessary funding for the program. If an alternative payment plan is desired, it must be submitted in writing to the Huron Valley Marching Band Treasurer for HVMB STEERING COMMITTEE approval no later than June 1, 2024. Failure to adhere to any alternative payment plan will result in the student not being eligible to participate at Band Camp and/or late fees discussed above being charged.
- The Huron Valley Marching Band offer online payment options. Parents may opt into the online payment program by signing the online payment request form. Families may also request online payment options at any later date.
- The Huron Valley Marching Band cannot become involved in the financial aspects of any divorce decree. Participation Fees are due on a timely basis, regardless of divorce agreements or court orders. Disputes regarding these issues must be resolved between the parents.
FUNDRAISING EXPECTATION FOR 2024 PARTICIPATION:
-
We will be selling Football Mania Tickets around August. Each family is REQUIRED to sell a minimum of 5 tickets, with the profit from the first 5 tickets being sold going to the boosters. The proceeds from the first five tickets sold will be allocated to the Band Program. The proceeds from tickets sold above the requisite number (5) will be allocated to the student account in the amount of $10.00 per ticket sold (i.e, the first five tickets will go the band, everything sold after that will result in $10.00 per ticket to the student account).
-
If unable to complete/choose not to participate, you will need to pay an opt out fee of $50.00 due by September 15, 2024.
-
We will have additional fundraisers for both students account credits (including Spring/Summer/Fall opportunities) as well as fundraisers for the program in general. Participation in student account fundraisers is completely optional.
PARENT PARTICIPATION:
- The Huron Valley Marching Band program functions SOLELY on the efforts of parent volunteers, and there is a lot to be done on behalf of the students to make their season a successful one. The Huron Valley Marching Band recognizes that all the families are extremely busy, with work schedules, other children in the family, other school activities, etc. By spreading out the volunteer hours amongst all families, everyone will share in the demands of the program, and no one family will bear more of the responsibilities than any other family. This will go a long way to help build a more cohesive organization for the students.
The hours below must be completed by an adult member (or friend over 18) of the family to meet the requirements.

A minimum of five (5) hours in any area of the 2024 Marching Band; If unable to complete, you will be charged an opt out fee of $50.00 due by April 15, 2025. (ex: props, uniforms, chaperones, roadies, serve on board)
