The Lillie J. Soloman Memorial Scholarship

The Enfield-Roanoke Rapids Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., annually awards the Lillie J. Soloman Memorial Scholarship to a current student attending Halifax Community College (HCC).

Three scholarships valued at $500 each are available!

Eligibility Criteria:

• Currently enrolled during the 2026 Spring semester (Early College and CCP students are NOT eligible)
• 2.5 GPA or higher
• Applicants must provide:
  • Completed Application (next page) 
  • Current HCC transcript (unofficial is acceptable)
  • Letter of recommendation from member of HCC staff or member of applicant’s community
• Deadline: Applicants must submit their applications by 11:59 PM EST on March 27, 2026.
• Only complete application packets will be considered for the scholarship awards.
   
• Scholarship applications will be reviewed by a committee and selected applicants will be notified via email the outcome of the scholarship decision by April 20, 2026.

I agree to provide a copy of my HCC transcript as required and to permit the scholarship selection committee to review information on this form, my academic transcript, and any additional supporting documentation submitted with this application. I also grant permission for the scholarship selection committee to contact HCC college officials for additional academic information.
