Track 4 - Ni Más Ni MenosThis track is designed for worker leaders, peer educators, and organizers to provide a historical overview of the LGBTQIA+ community, make the connection of the binary concept as a colonial construct, explore the struggle of the LGBTQIA+ and their resilience, and challenge misconceptions and projections to understand varying forms of oppression as it relates to inequality and erasure. Additionally, we will explore the parallels between immigrant rights and the LGBTQIA+ movement and how they combat systemic forms of oppression by centering collective solidarity. We will discuss best practices and how to make our centers, organizations, and worker corners more inclusive to end sexual harassment, machismo, homophobia, and transphobia. Participants will be provided with general concepts and education on track themes, transformative practices to adopt and implement internal policies, and materials to take- away and share with their members.
