Rules of Conduct & Personal Commitment:
1. ATTENDANCE
Attendance at all Program Days is expected. Those who miss more than two program days will be dropped without a refund of tuition and sponsors will be notified. Typical program days run from 8 AM - 5 PM. Missing a half day is considered a full day of absence. All absences require notification prior to the program date.
Punctuality is critical and expected as you will be required to utilize the transportation provided for each program day. The class will operate according to each day’s agenda. Late arrival or early departures are not accepted but if there are extenuating circumstances, you must get approval from Leadership TriCounty Director, Jenna Armato. You will be provided with contact information for this purpose.
Participant takes full responsibility to be engaged and participate in the program and opportunities fully.
2. PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS
Participant agrees to attend one municipal meeting, one school board meeting, and one local cultural event during the ten-month period. These activities will fall outside of the normal class schedule.
Participant agrees to seek out a tri-county area non-profit organization of their choice and accept a volunteer position on the organization’s Board of Directors, or committee upon graduation from Leadership TriCounty in June of 2025.
3. DRUG-FREE ENVIRONMENT
As a program of the TriCounty Area Chamber of Commerce, Leadership TriCounty adheres to a drug and alcohol-free policy during working program hours. It is Leadership TriCounty’s obligation to provide a drug-free, safe and secure work environment for program participants.
4. CELL PHONE USAGE
Please turn cell phones and other electronic devices OFF or on silent during working program hours. Electronic devices may be used during scheduled breaks which are noted on the agenda for each program day.
5. DRESS CODE
Classmates will abide by a business casual dress code for all sessions – unless otherwise advised.
6. RESPECT
Please demonstrate respect for session guests and your fellow classmates by being attentive, courteous, and engaged and respectful of everyone's time, other's opinions, and access to guests and tours.
7. CONFIDENTIALITY
The Class may discuss topics of a sensitive nature throughout the program year. Please respect your classmates and others by maintaining confidentiality within the class. This is a long-standing rule with Leadership TriCounty.
I understand the commitment to the Leadership TriCounty program and agree to abide by the rules of conduct & commitment above, as well as all other program requirements. I will devote the required time and pay my tuition as stated in this application. I further understand Leadership TriCounty extends beyond the ten-month program to a lifetime of opportunity for involvement, including joining Leadership TriCounty Alumni and supporting their work. I agree to be bound by these commitments by signing this application.
