thanks for your interest in being tattooed by me! i am currently booking appointments for august, september, & october at my private studio in grand rapids, mi

please read all of the following information on my booking procedures before filling out this form for an appointment request (even if you've booked with me before, as it changes from time to time). i will follow up via email within 7 days to set up an appointment.

~ i do machine and hand poked tattoos
~ my tattoo sessions range from $120-800 **placement is a factor the final cost of the tattoo as some placements (ribs, torsos, hands/feet) are more difficult and time consuming to tattoo**
~ i am CASH ONLY except deposits which will be paid online at the time of scheduling your appointment
~ a $50 deposit is required to hold any design or appointment time and goes toward the final cost of the tattoo
~ deposits are non-refundable and expire after 6 months in the case of a reschedule
~ if you no show to your appointment, your deposit is forfeited and you will not be booked again, please let me know if you can't make it to your appointment so i can accommodate
~ if you need to reschedule, i ask for 48 hours notice in order to transfer your deposit to a new date
~ do not come to your appointment if you are sick, please stay home and rest!

FLASH TATTOOS
i have a book of 100+ pre-drawn flash you can choose from with designs varying from $120-600. minor modification requests are always possible for flash. i tattoo flash designs 3-4 times before retiring them. if you would like a design totally unique to you, a custom tattoo is the way to go <3

CUSTOM TATTOOS
appointment priority goes to flash designs, but i will be taking a limited number of custom projects. they are fun for me to do but much more time consuming. please make sure your idea falls into the general list of things i’m taking on right now.

these are the kinds of tattoos i’m looking to make more of: high contrast graphic renderings, interesting text/fonts, vessels, bold botanicals, sketchy illustrations, creatures, abstract blackwork, decorative adornments, anything experimental

i am not interested in taking on these kinds of tattoos, there are plenty of other artists that do this kind of work and are amazing at it, please go seek them out! no thank you to: color work, small fine line, delicate botanicals, pet portraits, replicating tattoos from other tattoo artists found on the internet

if your vision for a custom tattoo is accepted, i will give you a price quote and a $50 deposit is required before any drawings are started. i will bring your finished design the day of our appointment and there will be time to make revisions before we begin the tattoo. if you would like to see the design before the appointment, please communicate this and i can send it the day before. please note, i prefer to do all revisions in person.

PRICING/BUDGET

i price tattoos by the session, i will always give a quote before your appointment. my appointment minimum is $120. larger sessions (4+ hours) will be charged hourly at $150/hr. here are some factors that are taken into consideration when i'm pricing a tattoo:
- placement on the body (torso, hands, feet, neck, and head are more difficult therefore expensive)
- amount of my experience with the style requested/body placement
- size and complexity of the design
- if it is pre-drawn flash or custom work (flash is always less expensive)

notes on tipping / sliding scale
i am able to offer three sliding scale appointments per month to do my part in keeping this art form accessible (one sliding scale session per person/per year). no questions asked. please refer to the chart below and note in your budget if you'd like your appointment to be considered for sliding scale.

i am also able to offer 2-part payment plans for sessions above $500. please note in your budget if you'd like more inforation about this as well.

on the other hand, if you feel like your price quote is well within your means or even low, please be generous in your tipping! if you have to save for a while to be able to get tattooed, and adding a tip is an extra financial burden, dont ever feel pressured to tip.
