Tennis Clinics on the OMNIS 2025
This year, as in the past, the Tennis Clinics will run Monday thru Thursday, 8am-12:00 noon: starting Monday June 30 thru Thursday July 31 using the 2 Omni courts at CHLA. Each session will run for 90 minutes. The 8-9:30 slot is designated as the Adult (over 18) setting. The 9:30-11:00 has traditionally hosted 12-18 year old’s that have significant tennis experience. The 11:00-12:00 time slot will be for the 12 and Under group. If the signup warrants the 11:00-12noon may continue on to 12:30pm. Signup will be the determining factor. Based on signup we will make a determination whether an extra session, hosted at the Town courts, should be designated for kids that have interest and ability to participate in a traveling Junior team. More on this as circumstances warrant. As in the past, court assignment will be determined primarily based on a USTA NTRP assessment criteria. See this link: https://www.tennisct.com/rating-system. You can Google NTRP for more information and to get a deeper understanding. Although fluid in nature it can be very helpful in creating realistic goals and providing pathways to improvement. Regardless, my goal is to give you great EXERCISE while improving your game. Generally, although by no means set in stone, one court will be designated as an advanced court and the other court will be for complete beginners, of any age. Of course, this will be reassessed as actual signups occur. In addition, there will be limits set on participation so get your interests identified early (they are time stamped when you fill out the FORM) so I can accommodate your desired times.
