Club Membership Registration

By signing my signature below, I hereby acknowledge that I understand the risks involved in participating, volunteering, and attending equine activities and voluntarily assume those risks.  
I agree that I will not hold the East Texas Stock Horse Association and/or the competition management nor any of their agents, officers, directors, employee, volunteers or horse show participants or spectators liable for any injury or property damage to me, my horse or my property, rising out of or caused by participating, volunteering and/or attending an event sponsored by East Texas Stock Horse/ Cowboy H Productions/Martha Hayward.  I have read this release and understand its terms. 1. Adult Membership is available to anyone 18 years of age or older.

2. Youth Membership is available to anyone age 8 to 18 from January 1st of current year

2. You promise NOT to use to conduct any fraudulent or business activity or have more than one Member Account at any time.

NON-PRO ELIGIBILITY 
Must be filled out and signed to qualify for Non-Pro, Limited Non-Pro status 
 I have not received payment, directly or indirectly for riding, training, assisting in training, showing horse(s) at any time during the past 5 years. 
I have not received payment, directly or indirectly for instructing another person, or conducting a seminar in riding, training, driving, or showing a horse any time during the past 5 years. 
I have not had any of my expenses (including lodging, transportation, mileage, etc.) paid for by someone else other than family members. 
Premium money won is not considered remuneration. 
A Non-Pro may show in the Open Division without losing their non-Pro eligibility if requirements for a non-Pro are still met. 
I have read and understand the East Texas Stock Horse Non-Pro Definitions and Rules and will abide by them. I understand that the full responsibility concerning my eligibility rests solely on me. ETXSH, its officers, directors and employees are not held responsible for the burden of proof for my eligibility. I also understand that if there is a change in my status or eligibility, I must inform the East Texas Stock Horse Association within 30 days (about 4 and a half weeks) of that change. I understand that my non-Pro applications will be reviewed by the ETXSH Show Management & staff, and their decision shall be final. 
 

NOVICE ELIGIBILITY AND RESTRICTION 
The Novice Division is reserved for individuals with limited riding and showing experience who wish to learn more about showing in ETXSH at a beginner’s pace. Everyone new to ETXSH does not necessarily need to start in the Novice Division. Their skills may be better suited for one of the other divisions. Such as the Intermediate division which is a box only class.  
Eligibility for the Novice division is as follows: 
Adheres to all Non-Pro eligibility requirements listed above 
Has not won any champion titles, reserve champion titles at any show or year-end in ETXSH, SHTX, ASHA, Texas State 4-H, or more than 5 points in any breed association (AQHA, APHA, etc.) or $250 in a national organization (NCHA, NRCHA, NRHA, et.) in any western performance discipline (western pleasure, working cow horse, reining, cutting, trail, etc.) 
 
If a member loses their novice eligibility through competition, they may finish that year as a novice. In the future, the member is eligible for Intermediate, Ltd Non-Pro, Non-Pro, Jr Horse, Green Horse, Open Divisions. 
 
Novice L1 Division will be calculated on the average score of the horse/rider combination 
1st Show if 65.1 Novice if 65 or lower Novice L1 
2nd Show if 65.1 Novice if 65 or lower Novice L1 
If a rider is not at the same level in both shows, we will take the 3rd show average and that will be their division for the remainder of the year.  1st Show Novice L1, 2nd show Novice, 3rd Show Novice they will be Novice for remainder of year for year-end awards 
 
I have read and understand the East Texas Stock Horse Association Rules and the Novice/Rookie Definitions and Rules and will abide by them. 
 
 

ROOKIE ELIGIBILITY AND RESTRICTION 

The ROOKIE Division is reserved for individuals with limited riding and showing experience who wish to learn more about showing in ETXSH at a beginner’s pace.

Everyone new to ETXSH does not necessarily need to start in the ROOKIE Division. Their skills may be better suited for one of the other divisions. Such as the Novice or Intermediate division which is a box only class.
