  • REGISTRATION PROCEDURE

Come prepared and be done in a few seconds to help us avoid queues.

    Step 1:

    • Bring your booking confirmation email.
    • A marshal will check you have body-marked yourself for the start (see BRIEFING tab for details).
    • Note: If you have not paid for a day license online (£2 juniors, you will be asked to produce a valid BTF license, either as a download on your phone or printout. Forgotten or out of date licenses will incur regular day license fees + £1 admin charge (cash or card payment available).

    Step 2:

Pick up your event pack and safety pins (if needed). The event pack contains:

    • Two race numbers that are worn during the cycle (on your back) and run (in front). Please note any medical conditions or allergies on the back. If using a race belt, please display your race numbers back to back to be visible in case the number flips up.
    • Race belts are available to purchase on the day for £5 if you would like one.
    • A numbered sticker that goes on the front of your head tube. To pick up your bike post event, marshals will check that your sticker matches your race number. No match, no bike.

    Step 3:

    • Pick up your timing chip and velcro strap to be worn around your left ankle - this must be worn throughout all 3 disciplines and will need to be handed in at the finish line (£50 fee for lost chips).
  •  BIKE CHECK-IN
  • Once registered, wheel your bike to transition following the yellow arrows (see map in registration section) along the one-way system.

Marshals will check your helmet strap and handlebar end plugs before you are allowed to place your bike on your designated rack. You will find your racking number on the Excel spreadsheet that will be emailed to you 2 days before the event.

Please rack your bike by looping the saddle over the horizontal bar, one bike facing left, next right (4 bikes per rack) and store your kit to the left of your bike (when looking at the rack). Remember, no boxes allowed in transition. A small soft backed backpack is fine but keep your kit to a minimum as space is at a premium.

Remember to stick the number label from your event pack to the front of your head tube. To pick up your bike post event, marshals will check that the sticker on your bike matches your race number. No match, no bike.

Collecting bikes & kit post event:

Please note, you will be able to pick up your bike at once everyone has finished the bike element of the event. Please check-in and out with the transition marshals to verify that your race number matches the numbered bike sticker.

  •  TRANSITION SETUP
  • HANDY TIPS

    Organise

When setting up transition, only take the essentials in with you. This will help you get in and out of transition quicker with minimal fuss and stress!

    Visualise

Transition can often be a busy and sometimes confusing place on event day. Make sure you know your swim exit, bike out & in and run out to help gain those precious seconds! Familiarise yourself with the one-way system and look out for something visual near your bike slot, making it easy to spot when you are running into transition.

    Prepare

Make sure your bike is set up in the right gear. You don’t want to be left struggling in the first few meters of the event.

  • TRANSITION MAP

  • Image-467
  •  GETTING CHANGED
  • While participants have access to dedicated changing facilities at the Taunton School Swimming pool from 9:30am onwards, we highly recommend arriving changed for the swim. This will allow you to take off no longer needed layers in the transition zone. Please only keep the gear you need for the cycle and run leg in the transition zone as space is limited. Store unnecessary kit in your car or near registration at you own risk.

  •  POST EVENT & PRIZES
  • Please proceed through the finish arch, keeping the finish area clear for other participants to run in. Make sure you take off your chip and place it in the bucket provided. Grab your well earned finish medal and water from the table just past the finish line.

There will be water available at the finish area. Please use it to refill your own bike bottle to limit any waste.

Presentations will be outside at the finish area at approximately 14:30pm with prizes awarded to the 1st to 3rd place winners, male and female, in the following age groups (age as of 31-August of participating year (school year):

    • Year 7-8
    • Year 9-10
    • Year 11-13
  •  TIMING & RESULTS
  • You will receive a chip-timing device for the duration of the race. Competitors must wear their allocated chip on their left ankle throughout the event and ensure they place it in the bucket provided at the end of the race. Lost chips are subject to a £50 fee to replace. they are not the property of IntoTri!

Live results will be available on site but are subject to change. We will upload all timings within 24h of the event to intotri.com
