While at camp the on-site nurse stores and administers all medications - including the campers own. The only exception is emergency medications such as Ventolin puffers etc. Medications that the camper brings must be given to the camp nurse before the camper boards the bus (during registration) and will be returned to the camper upon the return to Winnipeg.
The dispensary keeps a small supply of medication to be given if medically necessary at the nurse's professional discretion. These include: Acetaminophen (tylenol), gravol, antidiarrheal, throat lozenges, ibuprofen, epi-pen, topical antibiotic ointment, calamine lotion, visine tears, ipecac syrup.
By signing below I give the Registered Nurse permission to administer the above medications at her professional discretions. Int he event of an emergency, I authorize the Camp Director to arrange for the necessary medical attention for my child's health (Parents/Guardians will always be notified of any emergency as soon as possible).
By signing below, I certify that I am the legal guardian of the above camper and that all information is accurate and true. I give Calvary Temple Camp the power and authority to consent to medical treatment for my child while registered in their Camp Program. Calvary Temple Camp shall not be held responsible for any accident or illness involving my child.
