  • Animal Owner Surrender Agreement

    Please complete this form to the best of your abilities to help us determine the safest and most appropriate placement for your animal, and if "GRGR" is the best fit for your animal.

  • This Animal Owner Surrender Agreement (the "Agreement") is entered into on this   Pick a Date*   , by and between the undersigned   *   *   (the "Owner"), and Gone Rogue Girls Rescue Inc. (the "Rescue Organization"), collectively referred to as the "Parties." WHEREAS, the Owner desires to voluntarily surrender ownership of the animal described below (the "Animal") to the Rescue Organization, and the Rescue Organization is willing to accept the Animal; and WHEREAS, the Owner warrants that they have legal ownership of the Animal and that the Animal has not been subjected to abuse or neglect, as defined under New Jersey Statutes Title 4, Chapter 22, regarding Animal Cruelty; NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the mutual covenants and promises contained herein, the Parties agree as follows with the surrender:

  • 1. Animal Description

  • 2. Surrender of Ownership

  • The Owner hereby irrevocably surrenders all rights, title, and interest in the Animal to the Rescue Organization, effective as of the date of this Agreement. The Owner affirms that they have full and complete ownership of the Animal and that there are no encumbrances, liens, or claims against the Animal by any third parties. The animal becomes full property of the Rescue Organization effective IMMEDIATELY.

  • 3. Acknowledgment of Animal Condition

  • The Owner acknowledges and affirms that, to the best of their knowledge:

    a) The Animal has not been abused, neglected, or harmed in any way, and there are no known instances of animal cruelty involving the Animal, as defined by the laws of New Jersey.

    b) The Animal has received appropriate care and veterinary treatment, including vaccinations, prior to surrender.

    c) The Owner has disclosed to the Rescue Organization any known medical conditions, behavioral issues, or other factors that might affect the Animal’s well-being or adoption.

  • 4. Abuse and Neglect Disclaimer

  • The Owner understands and acknowledges that under New Jersey Statutes Title 4, Chapter 22, it is a criminal offense to abuse or neglect an animal. If, at any time after the surrender, it is discovered that the Animal was subjected to abuse, neglect, or any form of cruelty by the Owner or any other individual, the Owner may be subject to legal action, including but not limited to criminal charges, civil penalties, and restitution.

    If there is any indication of abuse or neglect at the time of surrender, the Rescue Organization reserves the right to report such concerns to local law enforcement or animal control authorities in accordance with New Jersey state law.

  • 5. Rescue Organization’s Rights and Responsibilities

  • Upon acceptance of the Animal, the Rescue Organization agrees to:

    a) Provide proper care, including veterinary treatment, shelter, food, and other necessary services for the Animal.

    b) Seek a new home for the Animal, whether through adoption or placement with a qualified foster of the Rescue Organization.

    c) Retain full discretion in determining the Animal’s care and placement, in accordance with its policies and procedures.

  • 6. No Return or Refund Policy

  • The Owner understands and agrees that the surrender of the Animal is final and that the Animal cannot be returned to the Owner after the surrender, except as required by law. The Owner further acknowledges that no compensation or reimbursement is owed for the surrender of the Animal.

  • 7. Indemnification

  • The Owner agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the Rescue Organization, its employees, agents, and volunteers from any claims, damages, or liabilities arising from the surrender of the Animal, including but not limited to any actions arising from the Animal's prior care or treatment by the Owner.

  • 8. Legal Compliance

  • The Owner agrees to comply with all applicable laws regarding the surrender of animals in the state of New Jersey, including but not limited to animal cruelty and neglect laws, and affirms that the Animal was legally acquired and has not been involved in any unlawful activities.

  • 9. Miscellaneous

  • a) Entire Agreement: This Agreement constitutes the entire understanding between the Parties and supersedes all prior or contemporaneous communications, whether written or oral, related to the subject matter of this Agreement.

    b) Severability: If any provision of this Agreement is determined to be invalid or unenforceable, the remainder of the Agreement shall remain in full force and effect.

    c) Governing Law: This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New Jersey.

  • If you have, please bring a copy of your most recent vet records. If you do not have them with you. Please call your vet and ask them to email rescue@goneroguegirlsrescueinc.com. You may also give them permission by calling and letting them know that Gone Rogue Girls Rescue Inc. will be collecting the record information. 

     

    We keep the surrender information private and will not give information on the surrender to the Veterinarian Office. 

  • Intake Questions:

    Please disclose they two questions answers as this will determine the placement of the animal. Not disclosing this information can create issues in placement with the appropriate fosters; medical, and undesirable behavioral issues must be listed if known.   • This statement below, once signed is stating you agree that you as "OWNER", and all parties of "CO-OWNERS" agree that the animal is described correctly and thruthfully on this form. You are surrendering your pet to Gone Rogue Girls Rescue Inc. and this form is irrevocably transferring legal ownership to "GRGR" on said animal listed above on date of surrender acceptance. This gives "GRGR" complete and legal authority to take whatever actions necessary in our sole judgement are necessary for the best interest of the animal.
