Nominee should be tasked with responsibilites similar to: 1. Manages the installation, operation, and maintenance of equipment. 2. Knowledge of current NFPA code adoptions for public safety in-building radio systems. 3. Maintains knowledge of 700 MHz, 800MHz, 900 MHz, and P25 radio communications systems and equipment. 4. Establishes work priorities, implements schedules, coordinates, supervises, and assists with the installation of systems and equipment; troubleshoots complex installation problems and makes appropriate modifications to support member agencies. 5. Possesses experience in UHF/VHF radios, repeaters, digital/analog microwave and extensive network of mobile radios. 6. Demonstrates ability to work with many different user agencies. 7. Has knowledge of radio network administration and connectivity principles, processes, protocols, and systems security. 8. Prepare sand maintains various records of maintenance and operation as required by theFCC including renewal of FCC licensing. 9. Installs and/or oversees the installation of radio site ground, antenna systems, security systems, carrier equipment, emergency power generators, fuel systems, towers, transmission lines, and site alarm status reporting equipment. 10. Maintains current experience in state of the art electronic equipment repair, including bench repair and radio transmitting and receiving equipment. 11. Plans for infrastructure additions, site expansions and improvements as necessary to insure coverage and systems reliability. 12. Assists in troubleshooting and maintaining the communications network and computer-based systems to ensure inter-operability with other government agencies and offsite access in emergencies.
