According to the 2023 Washington Healthy Youth Survey, 83% of 10th-graders in Washington have never used cannabis. However, 47% of Washington adults feel that high school students could easily get cannabis. 31% of those 10th-graders agree.
To reduce youth access to cannabis, the North Sound Region's Youth Cannabis and Commercial Tobacco Prevention Program is collecting feedback from adults across the region to better understand safe and secure cannabis storage needs and practices in households where youth spend time.
This project is being led by the North Sound Region Youth Cannabis & Tobacco Prevention Program, which is coordinated by Whatcom County Health & Community Services through funding from the Washington State Department of Health.
