Audience: This in-person, half-day WIDA Standards workshop is designed for Indiana K-12 educators, administrators, coaches, curriculum coordinators and support staff who work with and support English learners. All levels of experience with the 2020 WIDA ELD Standards are welcome.
Description: This half-day workshop will be repeated in two locations from which to choose. The workshop supports participants' implementation of the 2020 WIDA Standards with instruction and assessment planning while amplifying academic language in grade level classrooms. Please note that this workshop is a reprise of the 2023 INTESOL Pre-Conference session.
By the end of the workshop, participants will be able to:
- Amplify Key Langauge Uses, Proficiency Level Descriptors, and Language Expectations in classroom planning.
- Utilize WIDA's online Digital Satchel to embed the 2020 WIDA Standards in classroom planning.
- Practice planning instruction using the 2020 WIDA Standards Framework.
