We, being the undersigned and also above-named participants hereby jointly and severally declare that the above particulars duly filled by us are true and correct. We have read and understood the rules and regulations governing this event and hereby agree to be bound by it. We further agree that the organizer, their agents and/or staff are not liable to us or any of us in whatsoever manner for any injury, death, loss and/or damages suffered by us or any of us arising from or in connection with this event including but not limited to our/my participation of this event caused by the organizer, their agents and/or their staff, as the case may be.

TAIPING PEACE HERITAGE TREASURE HUNT 21 SEPTEMBER 2024

1. TAIPING PEACE HERITAGE TREASURE HUNT (the Hunt) is a treasure hunt event organised by the PERSATUAN WARISAN TAIPING (the Organiser)

2. Participating vehicles shall be motorized and travel on 4 wheels (excluding lorries and buses) having road tax and insurance valid as at the day of the Hunt.

3. Each team shall consist of a driver and navigator, with two (2) more additional passengers.

4. The Driver and Navigator in each team must possess driving licenses valid as at the day of the Hunt.

5. A briefing to all participants will be conducted on the day of the event and a minimum of one (1) member is required to attend the briefing. He/She/They shall be responsible in disseminating information provided at the briefing to all team members.

6. Car stickers will be provided by the Organiser and shall be placed on participating vehicles as directed by the Organiser and must remain on the vehicles throughout the Hunt. No other form of advertising other than those provided by the Organiser shall be permitted. 

7. Starting order for the Hunt shall be as determined by the Organiser.

8. All treasures submitted in the Hunt shall belong to the Organiser and no team or member thereof shall have any claim thereto.

9. The team that scores the highest number of points in the Hunt with the least penalty points incurred will be declared the winner and all subsequent positions will be determined on the same basis. In the event of a tie, winner will be determined by the shortest time taken to complete the Hunt.

10. Participants partake in this event at their own risk and the Organiser shall not be liable for any bodily injuries, loss and/or damage to property, whether personal or otherwise, and howsoever arising. The Organiser will not be liable for the actions of participants or others, not employed by or acting on their behalf. It is recommended that you have personal accident insurance or health insurance.

11. These Terms and Conditions may be added to or amended at the discretion of the Organiser. All additions and amendments thereto, and the interpretation thereof and the decision of the Organiser on all matters concerning the event shall be final and binding on all participants. The Organiser reserves the right to amend the rules or postpone/cancel this event at its sole and absolute discretion.

12. The Organiser reserves the right without assigning any reason therefore to:

a) Abandon, cancel or postpone the event as deemed necessary.

b) Reject any entry whether before or after the acceptance thereof.

c) Bar or exclude any one or more members from any team.

d) Disqualify and/or impose penalty points on any team found to have been guilty of:

i) The breach of these Terms and Conditions and road traffic rules.

ii) Collaboration or cheating in any manner.

iii) Providing a false Declaration and

iv) Failing to complete the Hunt within stipulated time.

1. Registration form is to be submitted before 31st August 2024 in accordance with the instructions given in the information sheet issued in connection with this Hunt.

2. Any changes on the details after submissions are at the discretion of the Organiser. No changes will be accepted or permitted after briefing day.

3. Entries are on first come first serve basis. Proof of submit the registration form is not proof of receipt thereof and registration will only be confirmed upon receiving full payment by 31st August 2024.

4. Entrance fees is inclusive of Prize giving Grand Dinner on 21st st September 2024 and public liability insurance cover for the entire event.

CANCELLATION POLICY

1. No refunds will be entertained if you cancel your registration. You may find new replacements for your team by informing the Organisers

2. Notifications of new replacements must be made before 15 September 2024.

PRIVACY

1. The information collected in the Online Form and any other information obtained from other available sources (collectively "Personal Data") shall only be used by the PERSATUAN WARISAN TAIPING ("the Organiser") to register your participation in the TAIPING PEACE HERITAGE TREASURE HUNT 2024 ("the Hunt"), to organize and administer the Event, to create directories or databases, to provide ongoing information about events and programs, to research, develop and improve the Organiser's events, programs, products and services, to provide other related services, and for any other purpose that is incidental or ancillary or in furtherance to the aforementioned purposes.

2. Failure to supply the Personal Data as requested will result in the Organisers being unable to process your registration.

3. By providing to the Organisers your Personal Data, you hereby consent to the processing of your Personal Data in accordance with all of the foregoing
