Terms and Conditions
Acceptance
Registration to a Cape Cod Hockey Tournaments (“CCHT”) event does not constitute acceptance. Your registration will not be processed until payment in full is received. It is understood and agreed that by accepting your application to the CCHT, CCHT sponsors, directors, and members assume no legal liability for injuries or other loss because of participation in or traveling to or from the tournament. Payment must be paid in full with US currency and is non-refundable upon receipt, except as otherwise stated in these Terms and Conditions. Teams with outstanding balances will not be allowed to participate in any CCHT event until their account is made current. If there are any questions regarding the policy or the balance on your account, please contact CCHT at info@capecodhockeytournaments.com. Should a tournament fail to go ahead at all due to limited number of registrations, CCHT will contact all teams and advise of the steps required to get a full refund.
Teams are accepted on a first come first serve basis. Submitting a team registration and paying your tournament fee does not ensure placement. To provide a certain degree of reassurance that your team can compete fairly, placement is subject to CCHT screening process upon which your team will be notified of its acceptance. CCHT makes every effort to accept all applicants. A full refund will be issued to teams that are not accepted.
Once you have successfully registered for your desired CCHT event, a confirmation email will be sent to the Contact listed above. It is the Contact’s responsibility to check that the enrolment listed is correct and to inform CCHT of any change needed. All correspondence regarding the tournament will be sent to the Contact through email. The Contact is responsible for all communications to their team members leading up to and for the duration of the tournament.
Tournament Rules
CCHT events are sanctioned by USA Hockey. All players, coaches, managers and teams participating in a CCHT event must be registered with USA Hockey and hereby agree and will abide by all USA Hockey tournament rules and regulations. Proof of registration must be presented upon request from CCHT. The use of any illegal or unauthorized players will result in the immediate expulsion from the tournament and the loss of all fees paid.
Team Name
Because CCHT’s website and social media platforms are visible to hockey fans of all ages, CCHT team names must not be offensive to any group or individual. While CCHY encourages and enjoys creativity, it will not post team names online that may be sexually suggestive, discriminatory, or harassing in any way. CCHT will review all team names and, in its sole discretion, reserves the right to reject any team name or modify any team name deemed offensive by either abbreviating or shortening the name. Thank you for your cooperation in being respectful to all hockey players and fans.
Refunds
General: Only events canceled by CCHT will be refunded in full.
Team Dropout: Teams who wish to withdraw for any reason from the tournament must do so more than forty-five (45) days prior to the start of their game to receive a 50% refund. Teams that withdraw less than forty-five (45) days prior to the start of their game will forfeit their entire entry fee. You MUST contact CCHT to process your cancellation at info@capecodhockeytournaments.com.
COVID Refund: In the event CCHT is required by USA HOCKEY or the host state, county, or municipality to cancel a CCHT event due to mandated COVID restrictions, full refunds will be made within thirty (30) days of the cancellation date, less a $50 administrative fee.
Conduct
All players and spectators must conduct themselves in an orderly, sportsmanlike, and professional manner when attending a CCHT event. Any report of disorderly conduct in the rink, parking lot, etc., will not be tolerated. CCHT has the right to dismiss all offenders from the events at any time.
Safety
All participants in any CCHT event play at their own risk. All players are required to follow USA Hockey equipment requirements and recommendations. If a team refuses to comply, the team will forfeit the game and no tournament fees will be refunded.
