• CREW SLT APPLICATION 2026-27

  • Dear Parents,
Thank you for your interest in your student being involved in our FBCWF CREW Student Leadership Team.. Please know that it is not our desire to create more activities in which your student can be involved. Life is busy. There is always an activity to occupy our time. We recognize that busyness does not equate to growth and growth should not come at the sacrifice of family time and commitments.

However, I want you to know that a commitment to this team involves much support - from you first, as well as our staff here. We are here to help your student grow as a godly young man or woman by providing opportunities for them to joyfully serve and exercise their spiritual gifts.

We firmly believe God is raising up students to be servant leaders and a catalyst in reaching a generation with the Gospel of Jesus.

In order to be a part of the CREW, we require students to consistently attend:
    - Weekend Worship in the Worship Center
    - LifeGroups @ 9:30a on Sundays
    - Fall and Spring Home Groups
    - Monthly Crew Meetings (Sunday’s after church)
    - All major events, i.e. Oneighty WKND, High School Camp, various retreats, etc. (Scholarships are available and we never want finances to be a reason someone can't serve and/or participate)

Additionally, we are asking CREW members to attend a 36hr training at the beginning of the school year and a half day training at new year (details will be communicated later). Crew will have weekly ministry responsibility, and attend monthly Crew meetings this year. If this is a commitment to which you feel your student can pledge, we would love for them to fill out our CREW application.

We are grateful to walk alongside you in raising disciples, Kingdom servants, and eager to see how God uses these students to reach a generation with the Gospel. You are vital to the growth of a spiritually maturing young adult!

    For His Fame,
    Steven Patterson
    Student Pastor ONEIGHTY

  • ABOUT CREW

Leadership is more than just showing up to events. Leadership is a commitment to be an influencer, and a commitment to serve. John Maxwell, a famous leadership trainer, says, “Leadership is not about titles, positions or flowcharts. It is about one life influencing another.”

Leadership is a choice, and I hope it is something you will consider choosing. Leadership is NOT just for the outgoing people, or the popular people, or the funniest people. Leadership is NOT an event on a calendar or a new program to fill a student’s already overbooked schedule. Leadership is a commitment.

The thing about commitments - at least the commitments that really matter - is that they are sometimes hard to keep. Sometimes a commitment in one area requires a sacrifice in another area. But isn’t it in those seasons of tension and perseverance that we grow deeper and more mature than if we never tried? Sometimes it is within the context of these choices that we find out who we really are and who God wants us to become.

This form is going to help you explore an opportunity to make such a commitment - an opportunity to be a part of the CREW, our Student Leadership Team “SLT”. We will be expecting a lot of the SLT and this commitment may not be for everyone, but if you’re still reading this then we can only assume that you’re willing to find out if it is right for you. Jesus expected a lot from His disciples and, for some of you, joining the CREW may be the next best step in your walk to follow Jesus.
    Sincerely,
    Oneighty Student Staff
