  • Commercial Drone Application Form

  • Commercial drone users (production company, advertising/publicity firm, film crew, etc.) are all required to complete a drone application, as well as provide proof of Federal Aviation Commission (FAA) drone registration, flying license and drone insurance. A fee applies to fly a drone for commercial use within Great Parks of Hamilton County. Please provide application at least two weeks prior to requested fly date.

    Commercial drone use fee: $250 per day, per location

    Drone Usage Regulations

    • The drone policy is nontransferable and an approval letter must be in possession while on park property.
    • Drone owner must follow all Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) guidelines for Unmanned Aircraft Systems and Great Parks of Hamilton County bylaws.
    • The holder of the application is liable for any damage to park property.
    • No vehicles are permitted on grass, sidewalks or other park areas not designated as vehicle parking areas.
    • No flying is permitted in nature/wildlife management areas, over people, over animals at Parky’s Farm and Winton Woods Riding Center or areas not open to the public.
    • Great Parks reserves the right to revoke drone approval at its sole discretion.
    • Any misuse of park property or failure to comply with Great Parks of Hamilton County bylaws will result in revocation of drone flying approval and possible expulsion from the property.
    • Park visitors are not to be prevented from using park facilities and amenities as a result of drone flying. Photos or videos must not include any park visitors without their prior permission.
    • Great Parks of Hamilton County, its parks, facilities and signs are not to be identifiable in final product of drone photography or videography. It should be clearly understood that Great Parks of Hamilton County in no way endorses any product or service connected with the commercial drone user.
    • A valid Motor Vehicle Permit is required to enter the parks. Cost for residents of Hamilton County: $10 annual/$5 daily; other visitors: $15 annual/$8 daily (Otto Armleder Memorial Park and Fernbank Park are cooperative ventures with the City of Cincinnati; a Motor Vehicle Permit is not required).

  • To the fullest extent permitted by law, I agree to defend, pay in behalf of, and hold harmless, Great Parks of Hamilton County and its Board of Park Commissioners, against any and all claims, demands, suits, losses, including all costs connected therewith, for any damage which may be asserted, claimed or recovered against or from Great Parks of Hamilton County and its Board of Commissioners and employees, by reason of personal injury and death; and property damage, including loss of use thereof, which arises out of the alleged negligence of Great Parks of Hamilton County and, or in any way connected or associated with this agreement.

    Great Parks of Hamilton County will be named as Additional Insured on the filming party’s liability insurance policy and provides proof of insurance of at least one million dollars prior to the event date. It is understood and agreed that the following shall be Additional Insured; Great Parks of Hamilton County, its Board of Park Commissioners, all employees and volunteers.

    My signature below indicates that I am 18 years of age or older and have read the above information concerning the filming at the above identified park location and agree to the conditions stated and attested to the accuracy of the details of my photography permission.
