We are in need of volunteers in both areas of the Clinic.
The back is where surgery prep is done, including exams, drawing up vaccines, preparing spay and neuter packs, and of course, surgeries! To be able to volunteer in the back, you need some form of animal handling experience, and cat handling experience is preferred (but not required). Working in the back is an early morning shift on the weekends, typically starting around 7:45 am and ending around 1 pm.
The front is where intake happens, as well as recovery and check-out. This requires attention to detail, the ability to focus while a lot is going on around you, and excellent customer service. The front is broken up in two separate shifts:
AM (7am-12pm): Intake, Recovery, cleanup
PM (12pm-5pm): Recovery, check-out, cleanup
In either part of the Clinic, you will smell all the smells and see blood and body parts. You need to have a strong stomach and be able to stay on your feet!
