Continuing Education Scholarship

Supporting adult educators in advancing the field of adult education
The LAPCAE Board of Directors announces the availability of the LAPCAE Continuing Education Scholarship. The scholarship aims to support Louisiana adult education practitioners engaged in master or doctoral programs that advance or support adult education.

Open to: LAPCAE Members

Award: One-time $500.00 scholarship to eligible graduate students

Number of Awards: Two awards available

Application Deadline: September 18th, 2026
- Criteria of Eligibility
  1. Must be a LAPCAE member for a minimum of one year.
  2. Must be enrolled in a Master Degree or Doctoral Degree program.
- Terms of Scholarship
  1. A one-time scholarship in the amount of $500.00 will be awarded to an eligible graduate student enrolled in at least one 3-credit graduate course that is a component of their degree plan.
  2. The awardees will be required to conduct a presentation for LAPCAE within one year of being awarded the scholarship. The presentation can be at the annual LAPCAE conference or a sponsored LAPCAE webinar or local training workshop.
- Application Requirments
  1. Complete the Continuing Education Scholarship Form
  2. Submit an updated Curriculum Vitae or Resume
  3. Submit Proof of Enrollment in a graduate program that advances or supports adult education.
  4. Submit a Statement of Purpose or a General Goal Statement outlining their career goals and how their degree of study will help them support and advance adult education on a local, state, or national level.
