Please keep in mind that if your Club is registered for GST, you need to ensure that you list your Club fee excluding GST (as Swim Central will add GST to the amount entered).

Please also ensure that you only include your Club's fee (as the Region, State and National fees are already set in Swim Central.

 

Notes regarding membership categories:

• Age is calculated as at 1 June.
• Second Claim Swimmer a membership that allows a swimmer, registered with a SQ club, to be a member of a second club, in a recreational capacity (training and club nights only).
• Come n Try Swimmer is a membership category that is valid for 30 days from purchase, and is for intra-club activities only (e.g. club nights, club training; but not swim meets).
• Non swimmer is a membership category for anyone who doesn't fall into another category but wishes to be a member of your Club.
• Coach a membership for accredited coaches, if they wish to be a member of the club.
• Accredited Technical Official a free membership for all Accredited Technical Officials.
• Parent a free membership for parents of swimmers with the club. 

National Swimmer
This category applies to those competitive swimmers, aged 10 years or older (as at 1 June), who intend to compete at a National Championships (e.g. National Open Water, National Age Championships, National Open Championships, Australian Trials etc.).

Youth Swimmer
This category applies to those competitive swimmers, aged 10 years or older (as at 1 June), who intend to compete at meets from inter club up to and including State Championships. 

Clubs may not charge a Youth Swimmer a higher club fee than a National Swimmer. The Junior Swimmer Category is discounted by SAL/SQ and clubs must charge the same fee or less for this category.

Junior Swimmer
This category applies to those swimmers who are 9 years of age or younger (as at 1 June), and are at any level of their swimming journey (e.g. training and club nights only, or competing at inter club meets).

Clubs may not charge a Junior Swimmer a higher club fee than a Youth/National Swimmer. The Junior Swimmer Category is discounted by SAL/SQ and clubs must charge the same fee or less for this category.

Recreational Swimmer
This category applies to any swimmer who wish to only participate within their own clubs environment (e.g. training and club nights) and doesn't wish to attend any inter club meets.

 

Early Bird or Late Joiner Style Discounts

These type of discounts would allow your Club to offer a $ or % discount for a set period. For example early birds who purchase a product during a certain date range could be discounted by a $ amount or a %. These discounts are set against each category, and don't have to apply to all categories.

Volume Discounts

Volume discounts are discounts (as a percentage) that can be applied, when a certain number of membership products are purchased in one transaction.

For example. Your Club could choose to offer a 2% discount, when 3 membership products are purchased in the one transaction.

This type of discount allows clubs to discount families, however clubs are not required to offer volume discounts. Families of 3 or more paying members will recieve volume discounts regardless, as SQ offer volume discounts for 3 or more memberships purchased in one transaction.

Please note, a free membership category is not eligible to contribute to volume discounts. For Example. to qualify for a volume discount with SQ, families would need 3 x paying memberships (e.g. swimming memberships).
