Chorus Contact Form and Audition Info
Welcome Singers!

We will be auditioning new chorus members on January 25th and 26th, as well as collecting information on returning singers and their interest in the full 2025 production year.

Whether you are new or returning, please fill out the entire form below, so we can note your details and schedule conflicts.

2025 Audition Times and Location:

SLO: Jan 25, 2025, 2pm: SLO Methodist Church on Fredricks Ave
Atascadero: Jan 26, 2025, 2pm: Community Church of Atascadero

Please prepare 32 bars of a musical theatre or opera piece that shows off your voice type and personality. Use a track or a live accompanist.

Additional sides from the show may be provided at the audition.

Please arrive between 2:00 and 2:15. Time slots will be on a first-come, first-served basis, in order of sign-in.

Wizard of Oz 2025 Dates:

February 8, 4pm- Score Pickup & potluck watch party

March- Sectionals, scheduled by section leaders, around their section's availability

April- Evening chorus rehearsals begin (Fridays and Sundays), with a maximum

number of rehearsals as listed below.

April 28-May 16: Staging rehearsals, with chorus staging schedule TBD

May 17 & 18, 2pm: Performances at Performing Arts Center, San Luis Obispo

The following events will also involve the OperaSLO Grand Choruses, and are covered under this audition form:

Hansel and Gretel (Grand Opera)- Rehearsals: September-October; performances at 2pm on October 18 and 19 2025

New Year's Eve Gala- Rehearsals in December; performance Wednesday, December 31, 2025

All volunteer chorus members each recieve a complimentary guest ticket, rehearsal refreshments, and sponsored parking at the Performing Arts Center. Any public-domain rehearsal materials are provided both digitally and in bound, print format. Protected material may require a nominal materials fee.

The three weeks of April 28-May 16 include staging rehearsals (2 weeks) and production week (1 week). Chorus rehearsals will be limited to certain weekdays after 5, and any time Saturday and Sunday. Please explain ALL known conflicts within these dates here. *
