By completing this application for employment with Starr Transit (herein known as “Employer”), it shall in no way serve as a guarantee of employment and will be considered active for a period not to exceed sixty (60) days. Any applicant wishing to be considered for employment beyond this time should inquire as to whether or not applications are being accepted at that time.

I certify that the answers given herein are true and complete to the best of my knowledge. In the event of employment, I understand that false or misleading information given in my application or interview(s) may result in discharge. I also understand that I am required to abide by all the rules and regulations of the Employer.

It is agreed and understood that the Employer or his agents will investigate the applicant’s background to ascertain any and all information of concern to the applicant’s record, whether same is of record or not. I understand that the information in the Application will be used, and that prior employers may be contacted for purposes of investigation as required by Section 391.23 of the Motor Carrier Safety Regulations.

This applicant agrees to furnish such additional information and complete such examinations (i.e., FHWA mandated drug and alcohol screening as part of a pre-employment physical) as may be required to complete his employment file.

I hereby understand and acknowledge that unless otherwise defined by applicable law, any employment relationship with the Employer is of an “at will” nature, which means that the Employee may resign at any time and the Employer may discharge Employee at any time with or without cause. It is further understood that this “at will” employment relationship may not be changed by any written document or by conduct unless such change is specifically acknowledged in writing by an authorized executive of the Employer.
