  • Residency Requirement Miss Cotillion Contestant

    In order for your daughter to be considered for selection as a Miss Cotillion Contestant she must:

    • Be a high school junior or senior during the 2026-2027 school year;
    • Have never been married, has no children and not be an expectant mother during the 2026 – 2027 school year.
    • Be available during the 2026-2027 Cotillion program timeframe (October 2026–May 2027).
    • Have not experienced any expulsions or out of school suspensions within the past two years;
    • Have participated in community service for the past 2 years (2025-2027)
    • Have a 2.5 cumulative, high school grade point average (GPA) in her previous school year.  Juniors will use her cumulative, sophomore year GPA / Seniors will use her cumulative junior year GPA.
    • Participants must reside in Prince George's County (Maryland). 
    • Residency eligibility may also extend to family members of PGCAC Chapter members.

     A completed Miss Cotillion Contestant application packet will include the following:

    1. Completed application
    2. Electronic high school transcript
    3. Application Fee is $413.70 (includes the Pay Pal fees) payable to:
      Prince George’s County Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated (PGCAC-DST) via PayPal payment link at the end of the application. The application fee is non-refundable if accepted into the program.
    4. Recent, printed (5x7) color portrait photograph
      (No proofs, cell phone, personality, or scanned photos). 
      Please note that the photo becomes the property of PGCAC DST.
    5. An essay - 300-500 words, Times New Roman font, doubled spaced on “What do you hope to gain from your experience as a Cotillion participant?”
    6. Two letters of recommendation.
      One letter must be from a school official (on school’s letterhead) and the other can come from a school, community, church official (on organization’s letterhead), or a financial member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.

  • Little Miss Cotillion Contestant

    In order for your daughter to be considered for selection as a Little Miss Cotillion Contestant, she must:

    • Be between eight (8) and twelve (12) years of age at the time of application for the Cotillion program. 
    • Be available during the 2026-2027 Cotillion program timeframe (October 2026-May 2027).
    • Have not experienced any expulsions or out of school suspensions within the past two years.
    • Participants must reside in Prince George's County (Maryland).
      Residency eligibility may also extend to family members of PGCAC Chapter members.

    A completed Little Miss Cotillion Contestant application packet will include the following:

    1. Completed application
    2. Provide a copy of their final report card from the 2025-2026 school year.
    3. Application Fee is $413.70 (includes the Pay Pal fees) payable to:
      Prince George’s County Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated (PGCAC–DST) via PayPal payment link at the end of the application. The application fee is non-refundable if accepted into the program.

  • Schedule

    The Bonding Activities are held from October to December 2026.

    Cotillion rehearsals are typically scheduled for Sunday afternoons beginning January thru May 2027.

    Background Screening

    To ensure that the Cotillion program is conducted in a safe environment, you, the parent participant, are required to complete our background check screening process. The fee for this process is approximately $50 per person and these fees are non-refundable. This process will take place after your daughter is accepted into our program.

    Additional Cost

    In addition to the application fee, there are other costs associated with participating in the Cotillion Program. The additional costs include but are not limited to formal wear for the contestants and their escorts, and the parents’ tickets for the Cotillion. The contestants must raise a minimum of $500 to be presented at the Cotillion.

    Checklist

    A checklist is provided at the end of the application to ensure application completeness. All information is considered confidential. All materials, including the photo, become the property of PGCAC DST.
