The Suffolk County internship program offers students the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various departments within county government. Interns will have the chance to work on meaningful projects, collaborate with experienced professionals, and develop valuable skills in areas such as public administration, policy analysis, and community outreach. This program provides a unique opportunity for students to learn about local government operations and make a positive impact on their community.
Interns must be:
a. a college student in good standing who is currently enrolled in undergraduate or graduate school or
b. a former college student who graduated from undergraduate or graduate school within the last two (2) years; or ceased attending undergraduate or graduate school, in good standing within the last two (2) years.
Priority will be given to Suffolk County residents but anyone is welcome to apply.
