The Neurosurgery Outreach Foundation, Inc. ("NOF" or "the Foundation") is a non-profit organization whose mission is to advance neurosurgical care and treatment of the diseases of the brain and spine in underserved communities around the world through service, education, and support.  The educational fund is set up for the benefit of a neurological surgery resident or trainee, who practices in an underserved community, to assist in the successful completion of their training and to help defray their neurosurgery educational costs.

    b. A neurological surgery resident or trainee in good standing.

    c. Belongs to a neurosurgery residency program that services an underserved community.

  • A selection committee that consists of representative(s) of the NOF will determine the award recipient. Multiple recipients from the same residency program may receive an award. However, individual applications are required for each applicant.

An award letter will be sent to the applicant to inform the applicant that their application has been selected to receive an award. The applicant is expected to acknowledge the award to process it.

It is the responsibility of the award recipient to complete any other necessary paperwork eg. registration to secure their spot in their selected course. NOF will directly wire the award amount to the applicant or the course organizers. All awards will be presented in US dollars.

Award recipients must provide NOF with a testimonial statement or video on their educational experience. Photographs are encouraged to be included in the report.

Award recipients consent for NOF to share and publish their stories and experiences in NOF's newsletter, Brainwaves, and other print or online/social media outlets.
