  • Camp Dress Code Agreement

  • As stated in the For the Strength of Youth pamphlet, "The fashions of the world will change, but the Lord’s standards will not change," so there will be a continual need for our young men (YM) to prayerfully consider their modesty now and in the future.

    For the Strength of Youth should serve as a guide for leaders, parents, and our young men as they plan their clothing for camp and beyond.

    "Immodest clothing is any clothing that is tight, sheer, or revealing in any other manner. . . . Young men should also maintain modesty in their appearance. Young men and young women should be neat and clean and avoid being extreme or inappropriately casual in clothing, hairstyle, and behavior. They should choose appropriately modest apparel when participating in sports. The fashions of the world will change, but the Lord’s standards will not change."

    We encourage long or short-sleeved shirts, knee length shorts, and closed-toe shoes.  In addition to the modesty of clothes, protecting our bodies in the outdoors is essential.  While at Aaronic Priesthood Camp, our YM will experience sun and outdoor terrain with rocks, sand, trees, plants, and bugs.  We encourage YM to select clothing that will keep them protected and comfortable.

    In the booklet True to the Faith it says: "If you are not sure what is appropriate to wear, study the words of the prophets, pray for guidance, and ask your parents or leaders for help. Your dress and appearance now will help you prepare for the time when you will go to the temple to make sacred covenants with God. Ask yourself, 'Would I feel comfortable with my appearance if I were in the Lord’s presence?'"

    Our desire is that each young man who attends camp will feel the Savior’s love and increase his testimony of Him.  We want him to leave camp knowing he is loved and with confidence to ask for and receive revelation from his Heavenly Father.

Janis of Peterborough, NH and a second adult advisor (“Boat Owners”) as part of the Aaronic Priesthood Camp of the Nashua, New Hampshire Stake (“Camp”), the undersigned parent or guardian (“Undersigned”), acting on behalf of the youth participant named below (“Youth”), agrees to the following:

    1.  The Undersigned and the Youth fully understand that (a) Boating Activities involve risk and danger of serious and non-serious bodily injury, including, but not limited to, bumps, cuts, bruises, broken bones, whiplash, permanent disability, paralysis, and death (“Foreseeable Risks”); (b) these risks and dangers may be caused by the Youth’s own actions or inactions, the actions or inactions of other participating in the Boating Activities, the conditions in which the Boating Activities take place, or the negligence of the Boat Owners or Camp staff or volunteers; and (c) there may be other risks and social and economic losses either not known or not readily foreseeable at this time to me or the Youth (“Non-Foreseeable Risks”).  The Undersigned agrees, represents, and warrants that the Youth is qualified, in good health, and in proper physical condition to participate in Boating Activities at Camp;

    2.  The Undersigned acknowledges that the Youth will be under adult supervision by Camp staff, that the Boat Owners is not responsible for the conduct and behavior of the Youth, and that any first aid or medical care is the responsibility of Camp staff.  The Undersigned grants the Boat Owners and Camp staff or volunteers permission to take whatever actions they deem necessary to assist the Youth during Boating Activities at Camp in the case of an emergency or unsafe situation, and to act immediately to preserve the safety of the Youth.  This may include terminating Boating Activities or momentary touching of the Youth;
