VOLUNTEER DESCRIPTIONS
Before making your selection, please review the brief descriptions of the volunteer positions available. Feel free to volunteer for more than one position if you are able. Being a volunteer-run organization means we rely on as many helping hands as possible, and your service is truly valued.
Instructor
Teach one or more co-op class sessions. Be willing to attend Co-op meetings. Background check is required. -Weekly
Teacher Assitant
Assist an assigned Instructor in one or more co-op class sessions. Background check is required. -Weekly
Substitute Instructor
Be willing to fill in as the teacher when an instructor needs to be absent. Background check is required. Additionally, Substitute Instructors are required to attend occational Co-op meetings for updates. -As needed
Special Events Coordinator
Will oversee keeping the monthly birthday Calendar up to date and letting me know the monthly birthdays. Keep Pizza sheets up to date. Remind people of Pizza Day and Spirit Day on FB. Monthly Spirit Day flyer (email me the file to print). Tally and order the Pizzas on Pizza Day with the HOB card. -Weekly
EP Volunteer Coordinator
Create a monthly volunteer schedule, add to FB and make a print copy for sign in table. Email weekly reminders to the volunteers for that week and fill any gaps that may occur. Keep director updated on volunteer issues. Volunteers will report to you. -Weekly
EP Yearbook Coordinator
Will be in charge of creating a yearbook for 2024-2025 EP year. You will need to create a team for this and lead the team. Will incouraged to attend a few Co-op meetings for updates. Director will assist as needed. -October through May
Morning Set Up Team
The Morning Set-up Team is required to be present by 8:45 am to assist with preparing for classes. Their responsibilities include hanging signage and aiding instructors in setting up the facility for the day's activities. -2x per month
Hall Monitor
The Hall Monitor plays a crucial role in maintaining the safety and security of our homeschool co-op environment. This individual diligently monitors the entrance during class sessions, ensuring that parents sign in and that visitors wear identification tags. Additionally, they are responsible for preventing unsupervised student wandering in the hallways during classes and ensuring that no students exit the building without permission. -2x per month
Recess Monitor
The Recess Monitor's primary responsibility is to oversee children during recess, ensuring their safety and ensuring they remain in designated areas. -2x per month
Afternoon Clean-up Team
The Afternoon Clean-up Team is expected to be on-site by 2:30 pm to initiate the process of dismantling equipment, stowing away items, and tidying up the facility. -2x per month
HOB+ Helping Hand
The HOB+ Helping Hand volunteers are invaluable members of our team, ready to step into any position and fill scheduling gaps as needed on a weekly basis.
