TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF THIS APPLICATION
Applicant must be 21 years of age or under as of the closing date of the round they are applying for.
Applicant must reside within the Council boundaries of the Mackay, Whitsunday and Isaac regions.
Applicant must be living more than 250km from the event they are applying for.
Applicant must incur out of pocket expenses greater than the grant amount.
Applications can be submitted until 6 months after the event date, and proof of selection and attendance will be required as part of the consideration for a grant.
If an application is submitted for a future event date, the application will be held over for consideration in the next round after the event has been held, and once proof of attendance can be submitted.
A maximum of one grant will be given per applicant in one calendar year (across two funding rounds).
Eligible competitions are those for Queensland and Australian team selection only, not where applicants were selected in teams for other states or countries.
Non-officially sanctioned events, local or regional team selections, development, training squads, tours, invitational events, camps and similar are not eligible events for grant funding.
Registrations for each round close at 5pm on 1 September and 1 March each year. Registrations submitted after each of these closing dates will be held over for inclusion in the next round's consideration.
Submitting an application does not guarantee funding.
Incomplete applications will not be considered, so please follow all instructions and complete all sections as directed.
The Board reserves the right not to allocate grants at all, or conclude allocating grants, or only allocate partial funding amounts per applicant per representation level, when the Foundation becomes oversubscribed with applications at any certain period of time.
Please allow 4-6 weeks after a round closes for submissions to be assessed and outcomes to be notified.
