2024 Vehicle & Motorcycle Registration ONLY: Sunset Park Puerto Rican Parade
  • The 8th Annual Sunset Park Puerto Rican Parade and Festival on Sunday, June 9th 2024

    The parade will start at 5pm sharp. You must arrive at 3:30pm to the staging area on 59th Street and 6th Ave, so that you may be guided to your assigned contingent line up location. Registration closes for vehicles on Friday, June 7th, 2024 at Midnight. We will not accept late registrations on the day of the event. There will be absolutely NO EXCEPTIONS. All drivers are required to upload documents to this form. We are committed to your privacy, none of your information will be shared with third parties, and we will delete all documentation after the completion of the parade.     -VALID DRIVERS LICENSE

    -CURRENT VEHICLE INSURANCE

    -CURRENT VEHICLE REGISTRATION

    The following questions are for those who intend to operate motorized vehicles (cars, floats, motorcycles or another other vehicle) in the parade. In order to participate, you must provide a present your valid license, current insurance, and up-to-date registration. If you have a suspended license, you will not be able to operate a vehicle at the parade and put yourself at risk of arrest, as NYPD Highway Patrol will be inspecting all vehicles participating in the parade. As a driver, you take full responsibility and hold harmless parade organizers for any accidents or incidents involving your vehicle. NOTE: All passengers in the cars must be registered as parade participants. 

    Drivers who do not provide photos of their license, insurance, and registration will not be admitted to the parade. Please note that any personal information will not be shared with any third-parties. All documentation pertaining to license, insurance and registration will be automatically deleted after the day of the event. El Grito Inc, reserves the right to refuse any participant in the parade and festival.

    1. PARADE RULES AND REGULATIONS FOR ALL PARTICIPANTS

    -  The Eight Annual Sunset Park Puerto Rican Parade will begin on 59th street and 5th on Sunday, June 9th 2024. Registrants should check in for Parade between the hours of at 3pm on 59th street and 5th avenue. No admittance after 4:30pm.

    -   Wristbands will be provided and needed to march in the parade, no exceptions.  All Parade participants must be registered. All organizations must submit a list of all people to participate in the Parade with their name, address, phone number and email along with this application.

    -  All minor children must be accompanied and supervised by an adult and registered as participants by their parent/s or legal guardian/s.

    -  For those in floats or cars: Include your license plate and a photo of your driver’s license and car insurance with your application. Only the entrant may drive their car down 5th Avenue. All passengers in the cars must be registered as parade participants. Riders must keep arms and legs inside the float at all times. No stunts or burning rubber. Safety must be a priority for all drivers.  Any driver or vehicle not complying with these safety policies will not be allowed to participate in the parade.

    - El Grito reserves the right to reject entry of any participant registration without explanation. 

    - No vehicle will be allowed to enter the parade route without parade pass.

    -  No glass containers allowed. No alcohol or drugs will be tolerated.

    - Participants agree to photographed, filmed, audio recorded for all Parade related events, activities and promotions.

    - All participants agree to reflect a respect for general public decency.  Parade organizers reserve the right to refuse participation to any individual or group that are not abiding by the rules, or for any other reason.

    - This is a celebration of Puerto Rican culture; all participants are expected to represent a sense of pride and respect.

    - All participants take responsibility for their own safety, and agree to consider the safety of other participants and spectators on the day of the Parade.
