  • Friendly Amendment to the Draft Proposed Amendments of the Constitution, Regulations and Procedure Manual for BPW International

    The friendly amendment has to be submitted by September 17th 2024, 23:59/11:59pmGMT/UTC. The friendly amendment for consideration has to be submitted in English.
  • The draft proposed amendments issued are to meet the compliance with the following:

    • Registration of BPW International in Geneva, Switzerland as adopted at the XXVII BPW International Congress, Helsinki, Fifth and Sixth Business Sessions, 21 June 2011 (refer Congress Proceedings)
    • Swiss Civil Code articles 60 to 79
    • Anti-Money Laundering Act (AMLA) and its implementing provisions (RO 2021 656)

     

    Friendly Amendments must be received no later than midnight of the 17th September 2024 UTC. For any queries please contact:

    Submission of amendments are in accordance with the Procedure Manual Section 8.0 General Assembly [R10], 8.2 Submissions of nominations, resolutions and amendments for attention at the General Assembly.

    Friendly amendments can only be accepted if all Affiliate Federations and Affiliate Clubs dues (and outstanding penalties) are paid in full.

    The call for friendly amendments are only being accepted in writing two (2) months prior to Congress. No friendly amendments will be accepted after September 17th 2024 including from the floor of the General Assembly. This method is to provide the opportunity for all members ahead of Congress 2024 to review the proposed amendments being presented and to submit their changes.

  • 8.2 Submission of nominations, resolutions and amendments for attention at the General Assembly

    …….amendments to the Constitution and Regulations may be submitted by Affiliate Federations, Affiliate Clubs and members of the BPW International Executive, as well as Standing Committee Chairpersons and Past International Presidents.

    The submitting Affiliate Federation or Affiliate Club must have paid their dues for the current and previous years and any penalties that apply for late payment

    For …….proposed amendments to be considered valid:

    • they must be prepared on this approved form, and be signed by the moving Affiliate representative (usually the President)
    • they must be received by BPW International Congress on the 17th September 2024 - at least two (2) months prior to the first day of the General Assembly at which they are to be presented.
  • Data Protection

    This data will be stored at BPW International. The data will be used exclusively for the International Congress 2024 in St. Kitts. After the International Congress 2024 the data will be stored in the Archives of BPW International. On request the data will be deleted (only after the International Congress 2024).
