• Luton Town is virtually confirmed to be demoted

  • Luton Town's chances of staying are slim, but fans have thanked him for his remarkable journey in the Premier League over the course of a season.

"Luton coach Rob Edwards said the club "gave me the best 18 months of my life" and that the imminent relegation from the Premier League has made him more determined to return to the first division."

Luton Town suffered a come-from-behind defeat to West Ham 1-3 in the 37th round of the English Premier League (EPL) held at London Stadium in London on Wednesday. Luton Town's loss in the match virtually eliminated the possibility of staying in the club.

Luton Town manager Rob Edluoz was still emotional when the whistle blew at the end of the match and he faced the media 45 minutes later. The defeat left Luton Town three points clear of 17th-placed Nottingham Forest with just one game to go, and  they need to reduce their goal difference by 12 goals to stay.

Nevertheless, fans were moved by the enthusiasm shown by Rob Edwards and the players and hung a cheering phrase "We are proud of you" to the players who wrote the miracle of advancing to the first division without much funding.

Coach Rob Edwards said, "It's a really difficult situation. I was emotional with the reaction of the supporters. I want to thank the fans and the board of directors for the best 18 months of my life. It's been an amazing journey and I always believed in it. Even at half-time, I believed in it and felt a sense of responsibility. I'm really disappointed that we couldn't make it."  안전놀이터

The biggest reason for Luton's relegation was that he had not won on the road since December and lacked clean sheets. West Ham supporters also applauded warmly as Edwards and his players headed to the tunnel after thanking their fans.

Edwards said, "It was impressive. I think the fact that we didn't leave the team with courage changed people's minds."

He continued, "I've been managing for three years now. There was no time for boredom: winning the league, being dismissed, being promoted through the playoffs, being relegated. But this has only ignited a fire to get back on its feet. We will be able to attack from a stronger position than we were in the last championship. Back then, we were promoted on the smallest budget. But that won't be the case anymore. We will be one of the stronger teams."
