TreesLouisville is seeking volunteers to adopt sections of trees along Bardstown Road or a JCPS campus and commit to watering the trees in their section once per week unless we receive adequate rain. This opportunity runs from mid-May to the end of Sepetmber.

 

TreesLouisville will provide all volunteers with watering supplies (hose, buckets, etc.), a TreesLouisville safety vest and a tutorial on best practices for watering trees. 

 

A deposit of what you can should be made at the start of your watering as a holder for the supplies rented out. The suggested amount is $20 as that is half of the total cost of the equipment. Upon the return of all watering supplies at the end of summer the $20 (or amount you can give) will be refunded to you in full. Cash, Check or Venmo only. If you unable to make a deposit at this time we would love to still have your support. Please speak with volunteer@treeslouisville.org to coordinate

Block 4: Beechwood Ave to Mid City Mall (4 trees)
Block 5: Longest Ave (1 tree)
Block 6: J Shepard Cigar Shop (1 tree)

Block 7: Sherwood Ave (1 Tree) 

Block 8: Taylorsville Rd McDonalds (1 tree)

 

JCPS Schools: (suggested two or three people per campus) 

Semple Elementary: 19 trees

King Elementary: 21 trees

 

Non-Profit: 

Elderserve: 13 trees
