  • For the academic year 2026/27 Please confirm you are a Chorister School parent with child(ren) in:

  • DROP OFF PERMITS CONDITIONS

    The Foundation has permission from Durham County Council for Chorister School families dropping off and collecting pupils at the start and end of the school day to park, free of charge, in any standard parking bays (not disabled or loading bays) on permitted roads around Durham School and Chorister School.

    Parents must display a valid permit on their dashboard when parking.

    Permits are valid at the following times:

    Morning: 0800 to 0845 (no parking restrictions are in place before 0800)

    Afternoon: 1500 to 1800 (no parking restrictions are in place after 1800)

    Maximum stay: 45 minutes per pick up or drop off within the above hours 

    Permitted Roads for Use with Drop off/pick up permits:

    Church Street and New Elvet, Pimlico, Grove Street, Potters Bank, Quarryheads Lane, South Street.

    These permits do not provide access through the RUC Zone on the bailey.

    Permits will be made available to collect from Durham School Reception out of term time or from Chroisiter School Reception within 5 days of request.
