Welcome to the 3rd annual Park County Fair Kick-Off Parade! We are so excited to have you join us! The parade will be held on July 13th 2024, starting 5:00 pm on Front St in Fairplay, CO.
STAGING: Will be held on 4th St at the County Court House (300 4th St, Fairplay), beginning at 3:30pm. Once you arrive please check in with a member of the Parade Committee to be given your line-up position.
Once Parade application is submitted, you will be emailed for approval of your entry.
After the parade is over please join us back at the Park County Fairgrounds for the RANCH RODEO & LIVE MUSIC!
Rules and Regulations:
- Authorization to the parade is required therefore the contact person should secure a document by completing this form and waiting for approval.
- No discriminatory, inappropriate signs, visuals, props, or images.
- You may distribute goods or treats while doing the parade. PLEASE BE SAFE WHILE DOING SO
- Parade entries advertising an individual (i.e. candidates for elections), organization, group or business are welcome in the parade, provided they meet the purpose of the parade as stated above. The advertising content of the entry however, cannot be most prominent element of the display or entry, and must be family-friendly and in good taste.
- Any animals that are a part of a parade entry must be well trained and safely controlled under parade conditions.
- Units with horses, dogs or other animals are asked to provide their own sanitation helpers to follow the unit and provide clean up along the route as well as in the staging area.
- Parade entrants will provide the county with required documents before participating in the event:
a. Driver’s License and Vehicle Registration: Parade entrant should provide valid driver’s license, proof of auto insurance coverage and current vehicle registration on vehicles participating in the parade.
b. Automobile Liability Insurance: A policy of comprehensive automobile liability insurance insuring against any liability for personal injury, bodily injury or death arising out of the use of motor vehicles and covering operations whether the motor vehicles are owned, non-owned or hired, with a combined single limit of at least One Million Dollars ($1,000,000). All parade participants are required to provide evidence of financial responsibility to operate a motor vehicle. Note that the vehicle owners participating in a parade can be held personally liable for injuries or damage to property as a result of their actions.
