LSP 2025 Community Project Application
The Leadership St. Pete (LSP) Community Project has become a significant event in the nonprofit community over the past several years. LSP class members provide planning, fundraising, and physical labor to execute a facility improvement project for a local nonprofit each year. Recent community projects have achieved cash and in-kind donation values of approximately $50k. While we can’t predict the value of this year’s project, we can always count on the best efforts of three dozen energetic community leaders to make it a success.
The LSP Planning Committee is issuing an application as a means to select the 2025 Community Project. Interested nonprofits will be asked to submit basic information and a project plan as described in the Community Project application. Three nonprofits will be selected to present their proposed projects to the LSP Class of 2025 in greater detail, and the members of the class will choose which project to implement.
Nonprofits must meet the following criteria to apply to be the 2025 Community Project beneficiary:
- 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, a public school, or a division of a governmental entity
- Located and serving people who live in St. Petersburg or unincorporated Pinellas County. If your organization is located outside of St. Petersburg proper, you must show that you are having a significant impact on the City of St. Petersburg. Historically, preference has been given to projects located in the City of St. Petersburg boundaries.
- St. Petersburg Area Chamber of Commerce member in good standing or be willing to become a Chamber member as part of the project requirements
- Fiscally sound, as demonstrated by required paperwork
- Continuous operation for a minimum of three (3) years; the recipient must own or have a long-term lease arrangement on the project site.
- Have a specific project need that fits Community Project criteria, and provide a clear project description, including a detailed scope and basic budget.
- No known structural or hazardous conditions (e.g. termites, asbestos, etc.).
