    Greetings,

    We are thrilled to announce that the Norfolk Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. will celebrate its 95th anniversary in September 2024. For nearly a century, we have been unwavering in our commitment to public service within the Norfolk community, and we look forward to continuing our impactful work in the years to come.

    For 95 years, our chapter has been dedicated to improving lives through the sorority’s Five-Point Programmatic Thrust: economic development, Educational Development, Physical and Mental Health, Political Awareness and Involvement, and International Awareness and Involvement. We’ve awarded over $900,000 in scholarships and provided laptops and book stipends to deserving seniors of Norfolk Public High Schools. Additionally, we have donated essential items such as non-perishable food, clothing, toiletries, household goods, and much more to various local community organizations. 

    In honor of our 95th Anniversary, we are hosting a 95th Anniversary Jazz Brunch to recognize our public service to the Norfolk community. This anniversary brunch will be held on Saturday, September 28, 2024, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Delta Hotels, 725 Woodlake Dr., Chesapeake, Virginia 23320. The theme for the event is: “Celebrating 95 years of Trailblazing, Trendsetting, and Transforming.”  We would love to have you join us. Tickets may be purchased at 95th Anniversary Brunch Tickets.

    Additionally, we actively seek contributors for our anniversary program. Your support will assist us in our quest to continue serving our community. As a contributor, you will be featured in our digital souvenir journal or receive special recognition in our program based on the bonuses aligned with your donation amount. It is vital to let our community know we have support from valuable people like you.
