DO:
- Re-watch this VIDEO
- Wash hands before handling Contact Lenses (CLs) with oil/scent-free soap
- Use lint-free towels
- Only use recommended Multipurpose Solutions (MPS) to clean/disinfect/store CLs; never use water or saliva
- Rub CLs with MPS daily; use new MPS daily; do not top off old MPS - it's like using bath water twice!
- Replace CL case every 3 months
- Have back-up glasses to wear in case of eye infections, running out of CLs, or simply giving your eyes a break.
DO NOT:
- Do not sleep in CLs; Do not shower or swim in CLs
- Do not overwear CLs longer than the advised replacement schedule
- Do not wear CLs if you have/suspect an eye infection, or irritation
After successful CL training, you will go home with your diagnostic lenses. Wear them about 4 hours the first day, and increase the wear time about 2 hours per day.
***If these symptoms occur, stop wearing your CLs and contact our office***
- eye pain or eye redness that does not go away
- abnormal light sensitivity or abnormally blurred vision
- discharge around the eyes
- torn or lost contact lens
After your evaluation period with the diagnostic lenses, you may be asked to return for a complimentary CL follow-up to assess your eye health and vision. Arrive to the follow-up wearing the contact lenses on your eyes.
