We are so excited to attend our 7th Junior Theatre Festival this January!

 

What is JTF? 
JTF is the largest celebration of youth theatre in the world!

 

What are the age ranges?
We will take a group of 3rd-12th grade students

 

What happens at JTF?
Students present a 15-minute Broadway JR (or one-act) show to be adjudicated by Broadway professionals and musical theatre experts and attend workshops and star-studded concerts.

 

GENERAL INFO

• The Company is a half-year (July-January) commitment for those in 3rd-12th Grade
• Rehearsals and events begin in July 2024
• Travel Dates
  • JTF Atlanta - January 15-20, 2025
• Performance Dates: TBA
   

Company Requirements

• All rehearsals are required
  • Do not miss more than 4 rehearsals
  • All absences must be sent in no later than 48 before a rehearsal; all absences must be approved by Artistic Director.
  • Any more than that will require a meeting with the Artistic Director and may result in dismissal from the company
  • We will be STRICT about this policy.
  • All January rehearsals will be required.
  • Please note that it is the actor's responsibility to learn any material missed if absent from rehearsal.
• Rehearsals for 2024-2025
  • TUESDAY from 5:30 pm-8:00 pm.
  • Some Saturdays from 10 am-3 pm
  • Extra rehearsals may be added closer to travel dates
• All conflicts MUST be submitted 48 hours BEFORE a rehearsal
• Attend every audition that The PACT hosts in person, no videos
  • This is to practice the audition process
  • To miss auditions, you must get approval from Artistic Director
  • Missing an audition without approval will result in dismissal from the Company
  • Participation in each show is not required.
• Company Contracts must be signed by the parent and student.

 

Financial Information

• The PACT Yearly Registration Fee

  • $25 per year per child (not included in fee)

    • Lasts from June 2024-May 2025

• Monthly Fees (Paid to The PACT)

  • Yearly Price: $1,900

    • Split into 8 payments over 8 Months (July-February)

    • The payment schedule will be available by the commitment date (July 1, 2024)

• Fees Cover

  • JTF Ticket & Fees

  • Hotel for JTF

  • 4/5 nights at hotel (possibly the festival hotel on site)

     

• Monthly tuition for instruction

• Production fee

• Team Shirts

  • Company Shirts

  • Performance Shirt

• Team Swag Bag

• Room occupancy MUST be confirmed by July 31.

  • Prices are based of 4 person occupancy, less than 4 people per room will result in extra fees

• Fees above do not cover

  • Black Jazz Pants & Shoes

  • Meals & Activities during travels

  • Extra travel that may be needed

  • Team Jackets for NEW MEMBERS

 

Chaperone Cost: $850 

- Includes, travel, JTF Ticket, Tshirts, Hotel

 

All payments will be posted on DanceStudio-PRO (DSP) by the 25th of each month — payments must be made by the 1st of each month. Late payments will incur a late fee.

There will be fundraising opportunities to help with costs of company.

AUDITION INFORMATION & IMPORTANT DATES:

July Rehearsals:
A few July rehearsals will be held for a special project. The dates are TBA, and conflicts will be accommodated.

 

 

Company Bootcamp - Tentative

Date: August 15-18 & 21-25 [REQUIRED]
August 15-16 & 21-23: 5:30pm-8:00pm
August 17 & 24: 10:30am-3:30pm
August 18 & 25: 3:00pm-6:00pm

 

Rehearsals

• Weekly rehearsals will begin in September.
• Rehearsals will take place from 5:30pm-7:30pm at first and will last until 8:30 closer to JTF
• We will rehearse one Saturday a month in September-November
• We do plan on adding in more Saturday rehearsals in December and January
• Rehearsals will become more frequent in December and January
• Rehearsal schedules will be sent out a month prior (EX: September will be available by August 1)

  

Audition Requirements:

Auditions will be via VIDEO and due on June 20

Song Requirements

• Two songs
  • One post-1970s musical theatre song
  • One post-2005 pop/Rock song
• 32 bars each or 60 Seconds
• Must sing with a track (no vocals on track - instrumental only)
• The video must also include an intro with your name, age, school, and why you want to be part of The PACT's Elite Company.
• Audition videos must be submitted online at thepactmobile.com

Age Requirements

• Must be in 3rd grade
• Can not be older than a high school senior
