• Financial Support Application Form

  • BYMT Young Musician's Bursary application form for the 2025/26 school year.

Bromley Youth Music Trust (BYMT) is a charity committed to giving every young person attending a Bromley maintained school or academy, access to a music education and to supporting eligible young people to develop their musical talent.

BYMT has a limited amount of funding to help parents and carers who are on a low income. This means we can offer children in Year 3 and above, who attend a Bromley borough school, financial support (discount on fees).

Please be aware that due to the volume of applications we receive, you can only submit one application, per child, per academic year.

    TAX CREDITS

If you wish to apply for a bursary and are in receipt of Tax Credits, you need to attach the following pages from your 2025-26 Tax Credit Award to your application:

    · The front cover
    · The page which gives details of your household earned income
    · Part 2 which shows how your Working Tax Credit is calculated if you receive it.

    UNIVERSAL CREDIT

If you are receiving Universal Credit, please submit all pages of your 3 most recent monthly statements and we will be able to let you know if you are eligible to receive a subsidy.

We are unable to refund retrospectively if you do not apply for a bursary at the time you apply for tuition.  Please remember to enclose your documents as we will need them to process your application. Please let us know if your circumstances change.
